Foreword
As the King, Lee Yeong, and his soon-to-be Queen, Hong Raon both step into the new world together, another line up of problems await them. Joseon, being in its stable state for a year now, is stepping out of its comfort zone, and would try to venture a partnership with the Ming Dynasty. This partnership however, marks great danger in the peaceful relationship of Yeong and Raon.
A year after his reign as the King of Joseon, Lee Yeong decides to marry the love of his life, Raon. One year in their problem-less relationship, and a problem suddenly pops out. The partnership that they are building with the Ming brings pressure to the married life of the King and Queen. The Ming Emperor demands that Yeong and Raon should now bear a successor to ensure the future of Joseon and he is giving the two half a year to fulfill this request. More conflict arises when Raon deliberately tells Yeong that she is still not ready for such kind of life between the two of them. Since she is just 21 years old, thus making her and Yeong the youngest King and Queen of Joseon. Yeong being th most understanding person Raon could ever have, wants to respect what his Queen decides on, just like how he respected her for over a year. They might be tagged as a married couple, but the two haven't done anything that a married couple would usually do, yet. And nobody knows about this except the both of them.
Adding up to their problems, the Emperor suggests to give Yeong one royal concubine, with the idea that Raon might not be physically able to bear a child, which results to an even bigger fight between all the characters. Packed with Byung Hyun being secretly in love with Raon, Yoon Seong being alive, Han Chaeyoung (Lee Hyeri) being the beautiful and seductive royal concubine and the powerful and heartless Emperor Jeon, Gooreumi Geurin Dalbit: The New World, will provide us all the necessary feels our handsome Crown Prince and lovely Eunuch once gave us, the same punch of feelings now that they are already the King and Queen of Joseon.
