As the King, Lee Yeong, and his soon-to-be Queen, Hong Raon both step into the new world together, another line up of problems await them. Joseon, being in its stable state for a year now, is stepping out of its comfort zone, and would try to venture a partnership with the Ming Dynasty. This partnership however, marks great danger in the peaceful relationship of Yeong and Raon.

A year after his reign as the King of Joseon, Lee Yeong decides to marry the love of his life, Raon. One year in their problem-less relationship, and a problem suddenly pops out. The partnership that they are building with the Ming brings pressure to the married life of the King and Queen.
