I am back with another story that I wrote a while ago for a writing contest !
(This is one of the one-shots I talked about on my blog post, by the way.)
You've probably seen it in the tags but this is a Jongkey story, and it's a funny one (at least I tried to make it like that).

The theme of the contest was fairytales.
We all had to choose one and readapt it (for example, make it in the modern world or something),
but while keeping certain elements of the original tale so that people could still tell what it was from.

Most of you probably won't know the fairytale I chose, which is Bluebeard.
It was written by Charles Perrault. You can check it out if you want but if you don't want to, I'll tell you roughly what it's about.

Basically, there's this guy (I believe he's an ogre in the text) who's very rich but very ugly so no one wants to marry him. One of the daughters of his neighbors had to marry him (even though she didn't want to because nobody knew what had happened to his previous wives), and after a while she figured he wasn't a bad man at all. One day he had to go on a trip, and left her alone in the house. He gave her the keys and told her she could go anywhere in the house, except in one room. After that he left, and driven by her curiosity she ended up going in the room anyway, only to find out that he kept the corpses of his previous wives in that room. (Gory huh ? I know.) She accidentally dropped the key to the room in a puddle of blood on the floor, but since the key was a magic key the blood wouldn't come out no matter how hard she tried to clean it. When her husband came home from his trip, she tried to pretend that nothing had happened but the magic key was still covered in blood-stains. And so he figured out what had happened. He locked her up (with her sister because she had invited her over while he was away) and let her pray for her soul or something before killing her. Fortunately, she had asked her brothers to come and they arrived before Bluebeard had time to kill her, and killed him instead. The end.

I don't know why I chose that story. I just had an idea and I thought the result would be pretty funny.
