Description

As the daughter and granddaughter of two highly ranked, successful generals in the army, you enjoyed your noble status. However, when they failed to push back the enemy, and the men under their control were slaughtered with few survivors, they were executed for their defeat. As the last remaining member of your family, stripped of your family name and status, you were to work as a gisaeng for the army.

Despite the tragedies, will you be able to regain restore your family's good name and honor or will you be condemned to live out your days as a disgraced noble woman with nothing to her name, no better than a slave?

Foreword

The sun was extremely bright for a day like today, and the crowd of six hundred people huddled together all squinted their eyes to look up at the stage in front of them, though there was a sense of despair and quietness, which seemed odd since the crowd was so large. Upon the stage, there were three men, one dressed in executioner’s garb and two bent down on their knees, looking grimy with their tattered silks. You felt the tears streak down your face, looking up at your beloved family for what would be the last time. Finally the silence was broken.

“For your failures to lead the troops under your command to safety, General Na, both you and your father are sentenced to death.” The executioner’s voice boomed out over the crowd. The once famed general Na Hyukjae knelt on the stage along side his father, Na Hyunwoo. Neither of them had expected their military careers would end up like this and both felt guilty about the lives that had been lost under their control. A miscalculation and nearly everyone under their command was dead and now they were sentenced to join them in the afterlife. At least they could apologize to the lost soldiers in person.

The only thing he regretted was that he was leaving his daughter behind, alone with no family to care for her. She was old enough to fend for herself but he could only imagine what trials she would have to face because of his mistakes. He prayed that you would be able to overcome his mistakes and restore your family’s name.

His last thoughts as the executioner’s sword flashed in the sunlight was of you and your future. ’Eunbi, I’m sorry.’

"NO FATHER!!!"

This is a historical fiction fanfic that features VIXX and you!

The basis for the story is a mismash of Asian history, drawing inspiration from the life of Liang Hongyu, a female Chinese general who lived in the 12th century (who is  actually really really cool), Korean history during the period of the Three Kingdoms (though it probably won't follow the actual history but we'll see), and a little bit of inspiration from the drama Hwarang.

The setting is in Korea (mostly because VIXX is all Korean and I really wanted to write another VIXX fanfic).

It might be a chapter or two before we run into any/all of VIXX and possibly other groups but hopefully you guys will bear with me!

Characters (to be updated as chapters are uploaded):

Na Eunbi {You} - the daughter of disgraced and executed general Na Hyukjae

Jung Taekwoon -

Cha Hakyeon - an entertainer (actor/dancer) in a troupe that follows the army

Lee Jaehwan -

Kim Wonshik -

Lee Hongbin - sassy army doctor

Han Sanghyuk -

Chapter 5: That large nose guy is definitely Jaehwan, lol.

Chapter 4: Lol! Overwhelmed by the fast update. Wasn't expecting it at all. Dr. Kong is hilariously sassy, as always. As for identifying the four VIXX members in the story, not sure if whether you are refering to the rest of the members that are yet to make an appearance, but I'll try my best guessing them!

Chapter 3: So that glaring guy was Taekwoon and Hakyeon is the obvious tanned person. Wow, I can't wait to see the rest of the character revelations of the other members.

Chapter 2: Omg, I love it! Please don't stop writing this story! So good.
