The End Is Yet To Come

Description

Act 1

This world is filled with many things we cannot see. In our limited time frame of “existing”, we human beings are only given the pleasure of seeing a small fraction of what life can offer. We are given fleeting chances to do good, yet also the opportunities to do bad and whether we take up these chances, influence our afterlife.  Ah, the afterlife, one of life’s greatest mysteries is whether we continue to exist after our “supposed” end, Death. The Bible, The Quran, Greek/Egyptian Mythology, they all speak of this oasis in which the good and bad are separate on the basis of what they achieved in their material life. Egyptian Mythology, for instance, speaks of a human’s heart being weighed against a feather. If the person were a sinner, his heart would be eaten but if he was kind-hearted and good, he would be allowed into the afterlife. We have all heard stories about angels and the good souls, but no one has documented what happens to those who sin at such a great magnitude, his or her soul is past the point of redemption. Grim Reapers. That’s what they become. The embodiment of death and suffering. They are condemned to an eternity of seeing death before their own eyes, yet always unable to have that closure themselves.  Today I will tell the story of one such Grim Reaper, who had existed for 300 years.

Enjoy.
