Description

In which Jongin is a successful businessman who is constantly racing against time towards his future, Baekhyun is a stubborn, unrelenting musician who has forgotten what home means to him, and Yunseul is a troubled therapist who knows more about her work than her own heart.

In the modern world, long jaded by sorrow and pain coating the passing of time, should they place their future in the hands of their own, or that of destiny?

Is it ever wise for commitment to come this early?

Most of all, what if happiness and security meant pursuing different things - or different people?

Foreword

Yunseul, Jongin and Baekhyun have been close friends since high school, and they had promised to live every moment together. Until Baekhyun gets accepted into a college in London for music, while Yunseul and Jongin choose to remain in Korea.

Flash-forward ten years. Yunseul now has a job she loves, a boyfriend she loves, and finally, after so many years, the prospect of having her own family. And yet despite the longstanding and stable relationship with Jongin, Yunseul finds herself continuously drawn back towards Baekhyun, a string she finds increasingly tenuous and fragile and yet something she still wants desperately to hold on to.

But does Baekhyun feel the same way?

And what does that make of Jongin?

This story will share the tales of the lives of three unique individuals, their growth, their motivations, their most heart-wrenching decisions and ultimately, their priorities, definitions and hopes of love and life.

//

this story is going to be melodramatic with epic twists and turns and at a mid-fast pace. idk hopefully it strikes a chord with you (?) because I really wanted to write a story on the simpler things in life, compared to my other stories that are about louder lives and greater background stories. TRALALALA, and I hope you will have as much fun reading it as I will writing it!! I really like this plotline teehee.

I've finished planning this story so right now I'm just doing the detailed writing and editing, so I don't think this will ever hiatus or anything haha everything's pretty confirmed.

have fun reading, but remember, this is a work of fiction, so take it lightly, and treat it carefully, it's very special to me. I've given up on many plotlines but I won't ever give up on this.

Chapter 6: I like the a/n on this chapter. Because not many people are all bad or all good. But a complex blend of good, bad, and indifferent. But it hurts worse when you were indifferent and then were persuaded and loved by someone to show you that they can be that person and trust them and then are let down. It’s the time spent with them knowing your heart and still pursuing you meanwhile knowing they have no intention of being with you like that. That’s selfish to me.
