Description

Jeong Inseong loves working as a junior detective for the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The job is tough, he has to obey orders from the seniors, but he isn't complaining. It was what he always wanted to do.

But when the entire nation goes into panic mode over the supposed reappearance of a serial killer, Inseong finds himself being thrown into clues and indications that are nothing but dead ends and red herrings. His once enjoyable job begins to turn into nothing less than a nightmare, endangering those close to him.

He has never regretted joining this particular line of work before, but is he going to regret it now? Will his current mental and physical capability be enough to bring the victims to justice, or will he end up being a disappointment to the police agency?

Foreword

This is my first KNK fanfiction, one that I've been dying to write ever since the beginning of December 2016. While I haven't watched too many crime and detective shows, I have read quite a few books of this genre, and I hope my writing won't disappoint any of you (if you ever decide to read this, that is).

The entire multi-chaptered story is going to be Inseong-centric, and for once, I'm not going to have any romance in it at all. For this particular story, I believe that romance would spoil the mood of the plot.

I'm going to tweak the ranks in the police agency to my liking, since I'm comfortable with writing that way. (No offence or hate to the real Korean police agency, though.) The story will have a few appearances from Topp Dogg, some for a longer time than the others.

There can be quite a bit of blood, gore and violence (for obvious reasons), so reader discretion is advised. I don't think I will rate this as mature, though.

Chapter 6: My hunch says someone in the police is involved. Or at least someone with connections to the police. So maybe it's a good thing he's keeping this under wraps from his superiors. I guess we'll see?

I just realised that it has been almost a year since you posted this chapter. I've mentioned this before but I would very much like to read the rest of the story if you still want to write them. And hey, don't we all write for ourselves? I know I do. So if you want to write for yourself, do it! *whispers* and then maybe you can post it here so I can enjoy it too ;-)

Chapter 5: Holy s*** this is serious! Okay I saw the comment that says Jihun is not dead so I'm not too freaked out but damn someone is serious about threatening Inseong! I knew his solo endeavor is going to get him into trouble.

Chapter 5: I found this story checking KNK written stories, but the last update was about 2 months ago :S.

Chapter 1: I came just to check this out after you told me about it, but the description was really interesting, so I ended up reading XD And I don't even know anything about KNK! (yet anyway :P)
This was a very good first chapter! Not much happened, since you were explaining their day-to-day and their relationships, but Youjin really got me intrigued! I'm looking foward to the next chapters ^^
