“What would you do if one day you realize that I’m gone?” Wheein asked, eyes glistening under the pale moonlight. She was smiling, trying to make her feel as if it was a thought that suddenly occurred when in fact, it had been bothering her for days. Wheein’s hand was tight against Hyejin’s and for once, the confident immortal in front of Wheein didn’t know how to answer the question. Hyejin was accustomed to telling Wheein that she would always be there for her, no matter what happens. But the both of them know that someday, somehow, fate would find a way to break them apart. A proof of how much of a sad movie their love story was.

Wheein tries to change the topic when Hyejin took long to answer but Hyejin knows that the thought would bother the other more if she didn’t answer. Hyejin tugs her hand and pulls her close to her, Wheein’s eyes were starting to fill with tears and Hyejin smiles, a hand carressing Wheein’s cheek and even in the cold weather, she found warmth within Wheein. With the cold air and the fog coming out of her lips, she tells her,

“I’ll search for you.”

Hyejin looks up ahead the passing cars, waiting for the stoplight to turn red. Wheein was waiting for her across the street, an arm raised up to let Hyejin know that she was there. Hyejin smiled at how adorable the other looked, she couldn’t wait to be with her.
