Company for Christmas

Description

After breaking up from a long-time boyfriend, Chanyeol's life pretty much stops. He merely exists until he takes some familial advice and leaves his apartment. He meets someone he didn't expect and certainly didn't expect to need so much.

Foreword

"Hi, Chanyeol!" Baekhyun chirps.

"What happened to your phone?"

Sehunnie left his at my place, so I'm changing his contacts and sending lurid text messages. He's gotta learn to take care of his stuff, right?" Makes sense. "What are you up to?"

"I'm picking up some stuff for my apartment. I got a tree yesterday, but I didn't have anything—"

"You got a tree??" Chanyeol flinches at the shout and apologies to some of the people around him. "No fair. You should invite me and Jongdae over—" He whines, probably pinched, and Chanyeol hears Jongdae scolding him. "I'm just worried, Jongdae; calm down. So can we, Chanyeol? Jongdae and I both have off today. It's been a while, and you're decorating by yourself." At Chanyeol's silence, he wheedles, "It'll be fun?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll even cook you guys something."

"Meat!"

"If you buy it, sure." Baekhyun whines but agrees. "I'm going to one more store and will head home. Come over whenever."

Anxiety twists his guts, but there's anticipation in the pockets around it. It has been a long time, and he misses his friends. He misses being social and having fun. Simply having a life outside his apartment.

Chapter 1: OMG THIS IS NOT ENOUGH !! lmao it's enough I guess but I just wanted to know why kyungsoo is a cat cx that's all. such a cute story and it's kind of unique you know. it reminds me of something but I can't put my mind on what it was. really love baekchen !! their characters here liven up chanyeol's dull life but ofc cat kyungsoo do most of the job to cheer chanyeol up ! good story indeed and thank you!

I also really really really love the beagle line friendship. Baekchen were so gentle and sweet and were able to high key care for yeol through being low key. I was afraid theyd make him even lonlier but in the end they just made yeol feel happy again and TTTT so cute TTTTTT CAT HATING BAEK IS AMAZING HAHAHAH THAT PART WHEN HE CARRIED HIM WRAPPED IN A BLANKET AMAZING IM SO HAPPY HUHUHU IM :((((((
it s a real mystery how cat turns out to be soo, like where he came from and what makes him transform (TRUE LOVE!!!!!!!!) and it s a really pretty mystery how he transforms at night when yeol is asleep, lying against him and holding or being held by him, kissing him.... Im happy... I think even if thingsstay the way they are with soo being a cat by day and human by night, i feel like he is still going to be welcome company. Lowkey wishing that now yeol discovered soo, that he stays human now too. So they can be boyfriends <3333333333 ahh....

This is legit one of the nicest chansoo cat fics ive ever read i mean not that ive read a lot of fics where yeol is lonely enough to be hallucinating apparitions in his bed but

there was something comforting about reading and watching yeol fixing himself back up. It made me sad to know that a breakup has affected him that much that he was practically a recluse and almost never took care of himself anymore.... Thats why i loved it so much when he was getting back up on his feet and getting together again TT even though theyre all little things like cleaning his apartment up (theraputic to read btw. Plus so detailed. And funny and ridiculous tol but really indication of how much hes let himself go sIGHS) it was a big thing bec he was putting in a lot of effort into making himself feel better even in things like that. Ofc little cat had a great contribution to yeols overall contribution and im really in love with how well and how quickly yeol was able to adjust to cat's presence, how he took initiative to take care of him too. Plus it s a little weird to say but cat was taking really good care of yeol too :((((((( hes really a blessing in yeols life. Like i acknowledge it was yeol ultimately who chose to better himself, but i feel like cat really affected his mood and attitude positively. I wasnt even going to judge hin for how easily he got attached to a random cat but i dont want to blame loneliness... I mean maybe but cat mustve!!!!!! Hehe plus as a tuxedo cat hOW ADORABLE I CAN IMAGINE HIS CUTE EYES AND SMALL BODY AND HOW CUDDLY HE IS 1/2

Chapter 1: I loved this! Chanyeol being so incapacitated by heartbreak was so relatable, and if you've ever had a pet with you during a hard time in your life, you know how much of a comfort they can be. For one to turn into a kyungsoo would be a HUGE bonus!
