Down We Go

Description

Losing your loved ones was terrible.

The world changing for the worse was terrible.

Feeling pain was terrible.

But when the world changed for the worse and you lost all of your loved ones and ended up being all by yourself in a world so cold, it was agony.

-;-

Haneul and her little group of friends were out having fun when their world suddenly turned upside down in a single moment. Trying to survive in a world full of zombies, they needed to have each others' backs.

But that was hard to do when there was no one left.

One after another.

One after another.

They would all have to go.

One after another; down they went.

Foreword

First of, English is NOT my first language. I will still try to get through this story as error-free as possible and I will beta the chapters as good as possible. Bear with me, please.

Secondly, don't call me author-nim. Tatari or Tari will do just fine. A**hole, too, actually. Just don't call me author-nim, whatever you say or do.

I don't own EXO, their image, anything branded to them or SM, or the same for any other artists mentioned in this story. Unfortunately. I don't hate any of the mentioned artists, either. But I do own the original characters and the plot (and the characterization). Any similarities to other stories are completely unintentional and coincidental. Don't plagiarize.

So, this will be a short fic I've decided to enter for Korey's First Frost Writing Challenge.

I've never written a short fic before (I'm really bad at keeping myself short) since I only write long-a** novels but, oh well, let's see how well this goes.

The word count will vary with every chapter, but will be around a thousand to three thousand words long, as I'll try to actually keep it a short story. I'll try not to go over ten chapters.

Enjoy! hopefully

Chapter 7: Hi Tatari! I was browsing through the other First Frost entries, and I'm so glad I clicked on this one! I love how you made Chanyeol and Haneul become more and more selfish as they lost more people. A lot of zombie books/movies/stories make their heroes remain steadfastly courageous and caring and generous throughout the entire apocalypse, but I do find it more realistic when the protagonists close themselves off and stop caring so much about other people. As horrible as it is, I think that's what the overwhelming majority of people would do, especially after losing their loved ones. It also emphasizes how special the bond between Chanyeol and Haneul is, because their bond lasted while their relationships with others did not.

Thanks for the lovely read!
