Deja Vu? Not Exactly...

“Okay, so what exactly are we doing here at the Han River?” You raised an eyebrow questioningly at Sungyeol.

“What do you mean? Just enjoying the view if course.”

“Are you sure it’s not so you could drown me here?” you asked suspiciously.

“Yah, you make me sound so evil!” Sungyeol complained. “And to think that I was planning on buying you some ice cream…”

“Ice cream my foot,” you scoffed. “Who are you kidding?”

“Hey! I’m serious!” Sungyeol tried to prove his point by shoving his “serious” face close to yours again. Despite yourself, you found your heart doing a flip flop with the unexpected closeness. The clear brown orbs of his eyes were looking at you directly, and for a moment, you forgot all about him being your Evil Master. Without the eyeliner he usually wears on TV, his eyes actually looked pretty innocent. There was an unmistakable glint of mischief in it, but he looked harmless, for the most part. He was definitely attractive -- not in the way that you found him attractive as Lee Sungyeol from INFINITE, but simply as a normal guy.

Finally managing to break out of the spell, you jumped away from him and avoided his eyes.

Aish! What are you thinking?! Get your head straight ~~~~!

“Fine, I believe you. So where’s the ice cream?” you asked.

After Sungyeol left to buy a cone, you looked at the view before you.

Sunggyu oppa was the one who had first brought me to this place. You smiled as memories from you “tour” with him flashed through your mind. He was so sweet and awkward and… Your smile slowly faded when you remembered what just happened earlier. How will I ever tell him the truth now? If that’s the reaction he’ll have when I confess… You sighed and bowed your head ruefully.

“Hey, why the face?” Sungyeol teased as he approached you with a cone of ice cream on one hand. “Miss me already?”

“As if…”

“Why don’t you sit?” he asked, motioning towards the grassy field around you.

“Well…” you hesitantly looked down on the dress you were wearing.

“Oh,” he said. You smiled as he started to take a handkerchief from his pocket and lay it on the ground. He has sense, after all. Sunggyu oppa taught you well.

“Thank—“

You were about to sit on the handkerchief, but before you could get the words out of your mouth, he already sat on it himself.

“Can’t get grass stains on my pants,” he said to you nonchalantly.

You stared at him in disbelief, but he just gave you a ‘what?’ look. You rolled your eyes at him and plopped down on the grass. I gave you too much credit, jerk.

“Here,” he said, handing you the cone. “This is their specialty, so it’s the most delicious AND the most expensive,” he boasted.

You eyed the weird-looking green blob of ice cream in the cone. It looked very familiar.

So, INFINITE likes playing the same games, huh? You’re trying to play the same trick as Sunggyu? How about you gat a taste of your own medicine? You tried to keep yourself from smirking.

“If it’s really that good, then why didn’t you buy one for yourself?” you asked, riding on with his game.

“Well, I wasn’t really planning on eating ice cream today. I just wanted you to try it.”

“Oh, really? WOW, that must be so nice of you,” you said sarcastically. “But I’d feel bad if I’m the only one who gets to eat. Here, try it first.” You held the cone to his face, smiling at him innocently.

“Aniyo. I’m okay,” he said, pushing your hand away.

“Oh, come on~”

“No, really, it’s yours.”

“I thought you said this is their best ice cream? Why does it seem like you don’t want to eat it?” you asked.

“Of course not!” Sungyeol said with an exaggerated laugh. “I like it too. See?” He hesitated first before finally licking at the ice cream that you have been holding against his face.

You watched in amusement as his face twitched with the mixture of flavors that must be exploding in his tongue at the moment. He looked like he was about to gag.

“Delicious!” He was half-smiling, half-grimacing.

“PUAHAHAHA!” You couldn’t help yourself and doubled up in laughter. “You should’ve seen your face!”

Sungyeol looked confused for a few seconds, but realization eventually came upon him.

“Aish!!! You already knew about the ice cream, didn’t you?!”

“Wow you made such a big discovery! You must be a genius!” you retorted sarcastically. "That's why you should stop trying to play on tricks on me!"

Suddenly, a bush sneezed.

Wait. A BUSH SNEEZED?!

Sungyeol seemed to hear the noise too, and he looked at the bush suspiciously. He stood up and slowly crept towards the bush. He was only a few meters away from it when his phone suddenly started to ring, making him stop on his tracks to answer it.

“I have to take this call,” he said to you, covering the phone with his hand. “Don’t go anywhere slave!” You nodded your head obediently as he walked away.

Close call!  Sunggyu sighed in relief when Sungyeol stopped walking towards him to answer his phone. He was hiding behind a bush, spying on you.

Ani. I’m not spying. I just missed this bush so much, so I’m visiting it.

When the coast was finally clear, he crept away from the bush, just in case you come looking through it too. Finally finding a quiet place under a big tree, he sat down and let out a deep breath.

All those times that he had been following you---

Ani. I’m not following them. I just happened to miss those places, so I visited.

Sigh. FINE. All those times that he had been missing and visiting those places which, coincidentally, you and Sungyeol went to, he had always been too far away to hear what the two of you were talking about. The only fragment of conversation he was able to catch was Sungyeol’s “…let’s go! DEYTUH!” at the clothing store earlier.

Date? So is it what this is? A date? His eyebrows furrowed at the thought. They’ve been acting so close. ~~~~-ah even chose clothes for Sungyeol. And just now, she even fed him ice cream! SHE FED HIM!!! ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!! He was kicking his legs in frustration when…

“O-oppa?”

After Sungyeol went to take the phone call, you immediately scrambled up and hurried away. You knew you’d get in trouble for disobeying him again, but it was probably the only time you could roam around without him badgering you. Besides, you had no intentions of being a submissive slave, and you wanted to give him a hard time.

As you walked around the place, you came upon a big tree. It was far enough from you original location and provided shade, so you approached it and sat against the tree trunk when you suddenly heard weird noises coming from the other side of the tree. Curious, you peeked around it to see a brown-haired guy who had his back turned towards you. He looked like he was throwing a tantrum. For a moment, you just watched in amusement as he kicked his feet around like a baby. When you caught a glimpse of his face, however, your amusement was replaced by nervousness as you realized who “the guy” actually was.

“O-oppa?” you said hesitantly.

He turned towards you in surprise and looked like he was about to scramble away when he saw you staring back at him.

“Wha—who—whe—“ Sunggyu stammered.

“What are you doing here oppa?” you asked.

“I uh… ummm… I….” He took a deep breath and announced with a straight face, “I missed this tree a lot, so I came here to visit it.” He stroked the tree to prove his point.

“B-bwoh?”

“I missed this tree,” he repeated, this time putting his arms around the tree trunk and giving it a hug.

“Err… okaaaay…” You couldn’t tell whether that was supposed to be a joke or if he really meant it so you just gave him an awkward smile.

Should I ask him if he’s still angry about…well, about that café incident earlier…

”Listen—“ you both said at the same time.

“Uh…you go first,” he offered.

“No, go ahead.”

“Alright, uhh… I’m sorry for leaving you at the café earlier,” he said apologetically. “Whatever Sungyeol told you after I left, don’t believe it okay?”

“Huh? What do you mean? What exactly?”

“Oh, nothing in particular,” he laughed tensely. “Just… don’t take what he says seriously, alright? He’s stupid sometimes.” Either Sungyeol didn’t tell her the truth or she just forgot because of her Alzheimer’s. If that’s the case, then thank you Alzheimer’s! But don’t make her forget about me, please? You can make her forget about that freaking Lee Sungyeol instead. Buhahaha.

“What were you going to say earlier?” he asked you.

“Nah… It’s nothing important. Hehe.”

“So… What are you doing here?” he asked slowly. What will you say, ~~~~-ah? Are you really on a date with Sungyeol?

“I… well… I ummm…” Oh no, otteokae??? What should I tell him???? “Actually, I’m not so sure myself,” you finally said. “I was just wandering around and the next thing I know, my feet already led me here. Funny huh?” you bluffed. You faked a laugh.

Mentally, you were already beating yourself to a pulp. Stupid, stupid! Can’t you think of a better excuse?! You’re becoming as bad a liar as Sunggyu is!

Meanwhile, Sunggyu was dancing with happiness in his head. Oh, so now she also forgot that she came here with Sungyeol? DAEBAK!!! Thank you Alzheimer’s! Thank youuuuuuu—

“Uh, Sunggyu oppa? Are you okay?” you asked, looking at him weirdly. He was hugging the tree happily with a huge grin plastered on his face.

“Huh? Oh yeah,” he said with a sheepish laugh. He untangled himself from the tree and straightened up. “So, have you had your lunch yet?”

“No, not really,” you replied. Evil No-Brow won’t even get me something decent to eat.

“Do you… uhh…. Doyouwanttohavelunchwithme?”

“Errr… what?”

“Uh… Do you want to… you know… eat lunch. With... uh… me?” he asked meekly. He looked like he was about to pee in his pants. “I-if you don’t want to, it’s okay,” he hurriedly added.

“Oh…” Your brows furrowed as you thought about it. Sungyeol will be back any minute now… He’ll be furious. So…

“I’d love to!” you exclaimed with a bright smile. Ha! You think you have me at the palm of your hands, ‘master’?

You knew that you’d definitely get in trouble with Sungyeol for leaving without his permission, but you’re sure that he’d threaten to tell Sunggyu about your lie whatever you do anyway, so another violation probably won’t hurt. Much.

“Really?” Sunggyu asked happily. “That’s great then! Come on, let’s go.” He was smiling so much that his eyes had already disappeared into two thin lines.

He scrambled up on his feet and held out his hand to help you up. You smiled at him and took his hand gratefully.

Such a gentleman. So different from Evil No-Brow. He'll probably kill me later, but... For now, I'll just enjoy Sunggyu oppa's company. ^^

Guys, I bet you want to kill me for the lack Sunggyu in the last few chapters, but I just couldn't resist some interaction with Evil No-Brow Yeollie. X3 Anyways, next chapter will DEFINITELY have a lot of HamGyu  action, so please anticipate it. ^^ I know this chapter ends rather abruptly, but I'll definitely try my best to update soon. Really. >w<
