(BTS) I Found You, 1 out of Billions

Description

Life isn't fair and it has never been. Sana had to learn that the hard way after losing so many important people in her life. She finally decides to make a comeback and turn her life around. However, history repeats itself; people get hurt once again. Minna, Sana's best friend, tries to help her through the journey even she has problems in her life as well. "Will life ever get better? What's the point of trying when I've lost so much already? It's tiring." Those words replay in Sana's head, encouraging her to give up if it's too hard. But she encounters new events and people making her decision waver. What's her final choice?

Foreword

"I Need You."

Sana wakes up from her nap, sees the messy desk full of papers. She takes out her earphones and presses the home button on her phone. The album cover of I NEED U is on the front of her screen. Sana let's out a sigh. She looks at the calendar above her desk, which reads August. Sana rips off the sheet with a brand new September calendar underneath. She opens snapchat on her phone and takes a picture of the calendar. She places a text, "Happy Birthday Kookie! - sorry it's late" Sana let's out another sigh.

Sana: I wonder if he's going to open it...

Sana looks at the clock, it's almost 3 am.

I better take a shower and get some sleep. School starts soon and if I stay up too late, my body is going to get stressed easily.

After the shower, Sana checks her phone. Nothing. She throws her phone onto her bed, puts on a T-shirt, and lays on her bed. She picks up her phone again near her thighs, still nothing.

Sana: *mumbles* Ugh, whatever!

She pulls her blanket over her head and closes her eyes. Angrily tugs it back down. She stares at the ceiling for a very long time.

Maybe they're just very busy with their comeback. I should probably leave them alone.

Sana shuts her eyes to sleep, but her thoughts starts to trigger the unforgettable memory of summer vacation.

June of 2015

Sana: Hello? Minna, where are you? I just arrived at the airport.

Minna: I see you! I'm wearing a white polka dot black dress. Do you see me?

Sana: Honey, I'm pretty sure you need to find me. My mission isn't to look for you!

Minna: Geez, I was just kidding! I'm literally right across from you.

Sana scans the crowd to find a white polka dot dress. Minna was in the back of the crowd waving like there's no tomorrow. Sana hangs up her phone, grabs her suit case handle, and heads towards Minna.

Sana: I finally found you, Minnie Mouse. Why are wearing sunglasses inside a building?

Minna jumps onto Sana.

Minna: I missed you so much! And! Wait we need a selfie.

Sana: Take off your sunglasses.

Minna: No! It's fashion!

Minna takes her phone, holds her up high, and tells Sana to say cheese. Sana tagged along and takes a picture with her.

Sana: Where's the hotel?

Minna: Oh yeah! We have to drop off your luggage. It's actually very close, we can take a taxi.

Sana: After that, where are we going?

Minna: A cute little restaurant! Don't worry it's really cute!

Sana and Minna walks to the automatic doors. Minna was able to get a taxi very quickly. The ride to the hotel was about 20 minutes. They check in at the front desk.

Sana: Wow, my room is on the third floor. Thank god it won't take long to get there.

Minna: What? Only room 399? What the hell? How are you going to see the night view?

Sana: You act as if I never saw a city  view. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm from where?

Minna roles her eyes. Looks at Sana's sarcastic face.

Minna: Oh yeah... I forgot you're a city girl. From New York.

Sana's room was the last one down the hall. Minna whines all the way to the room.

Minna: Why does it have to be so far? I'm tired.

Sana: Minna! We used the elevator, not even one set of stairs.

The room was small, and cozy just like Sana's apartment back in New York. She puts her luggage at the entrance and leaves with Minna.

Minna: So ready for an adventure?

Sana: Am I going to go bungee jumping or something?

Minna: Haha, not this time!

Sana: Aww, I was actually looking forward to it.

Minna: You need help. I wanted to scare you, but who knew you love heights.

Sana: Well, gotta love the surprises in life.

Minna guides Sana around Seoul. They went to the cafe Minna suggested. Minna chooses a window seat for two.

Minna: They have really good cheese cakes! Do you want to try the strawberry one?

Sana: I'm lactose. Sorry, can't have too much dairy. You can't have it either.

Minna: What do you mean? Yes I could!

Sana: I don't want you farting the whole day.

Minna: What do you mean? I'm not lactose like you!

Sana: What? I thought all Asians were lactose.

Minna: You're wrong.

Sana: Anyway, I'm going to get the strawberry short cake.

Minna: Hm? You sure you don't want the Oreo double chocolate slice?

Sana: I'm not feeling it.

Minna: Okie dokie.

After placing the order, Minna stares at Sana. Excited about what she was going to ask.

Sana: Is there something on my face?

Minna: No. How's your boyfriend?

Sana smiles at Minna which makes her anticipate the gossip she was going to hear. Sana sighs.

Sana: We broke up.

Minna stands up with shock in her eyes.

Minna: No way!

Sana: Ya. Please sit down.

Minna: Girl! When did this happen?

Sana: Last week or so? I mean we graduated and we're going to different colleges, so it makes sense if we can't see each other.

Minna: Do you still love him?

Sana tried really hard to ignore the question, she looks away, avoiding Minna's eyes. Luckily, the waitress serves the desserts at the right time.

Sana: Wow! It's so cute! I like it! Wait, Minna, let me take a pic of you as my date.

Minna poses and then looks serious. She was going to ask Sana again about the relationship, but it might make her feel uncomfortable. So instead, Minna gossiped a lot of stuff that has been going on in her life. She whines how much she hates Korean high school. Minna tells Sana how stupid she is compared to other students. She's so happy to graduate and plans to study abroad. Sana laughs at Minna's complaints. Which is good because Minna wants Sana to forget about the past. After chatting for so long, Minna suggests that they should go shopping.

Sana: Don't you have enough clothes?

Minna: No no no. There's never enough clothes. I need more! Lets go!

The mall was far, but instead of taking a taxi, Minna wants to walk to show off her outfit. They stop at a crosswalk, where the lights were red for pedestrians. Minna looks at Sana. She couldn't hold in, but to ask.

Minna: How do you feel about going separate ways?

Sana: Us?

Minna: No! You and Jon, of course!

Sana: Hmm.

In the distance, Sana sees a kid crossing the side walk when it's still a red light. Sana spots a black car coming from his right. She looks over to Minna.

Sana: Minna, hold my bag.

She runs off onto the crosswalk, the kid sees the car and stops in his tracks. Sana races as fast as possible.

Sana: DON'T STAND THERE!

The kid glances at Sana. Makes no effort to move, just frozen in his position.

Crap! I'm not going to make it. Even if I do, I'm going to get injured. What am I going to do?

Sana reaches out for the kid and pushes him out of the way. She looks to her left and the car light beams straight at her. Her knees began to weaken and stumbles to the ground. She covers her eyes with her arms. She hears the car screech and the hot engine near her ears.

Is it over yet?

Minna: SANA!

Sana turns her head to Minna; who's balling her eyes out. Many people started to crowd around, but saw no one was hurt and walks away. A guy comes out of the driver seat, angrily stomps over.

Guy: WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING? (In Korean)

Minna rushes over to Sana and holds her up; who's still blanked out. She responds back in Korean to the guy.

Minna: Who do you think you are!? You have no right to yell at her!

Guy: You should be thankful I even stopped the car! Who knew a girl would rush out of no where!

The kid runs over to Sana. He holds her hands and talks to her in Korean.

Kid: *in Korean* You okay? Thank you so much for saving me.

Minna: She doesn't understand Korean.

Kid: *in English* Thank you so much!

Sana smiles and tells the kid not to run into the road like that again. While Minna argues with the car guy.

Sana: Minna, tell him thank you for stopping and sorry for making him have a heart attack.

Minna: What? It almost gave me a heart attack not him!

Sana: It would've been bad if he killed someone, that's a scary thought.

Minna thanks the car guy in Korean as Sana was already walking ahead before the light turns red again.

Minna catches up with Sana.

Minna: Are you okay? You look pale, do you want to just call it a day?

Sana: I'm fine! I need to buy new clothes anyway. I didn't bring much on the trip

Minna gives Sana a worried glance. The way to the mall was silent and Minna was constantly falling behind as Sana walks quickly. When they arrived at the mall, Sana insists to go to the bathroom alone. While Minna waited near the shoe store, she catches the sight of two tall guys coming from the entrance. She slowly creeps close. When she starts to see their faces closely, she notices that they look familiar.

No way! It's Jungkook and V! Oh my goodness! This is crazy.
