When the life you once knew have to be forgotten for the lives you need to save, it's a lot of pressure for one person to take. As the days go on, you feel as if you start losing yourself. The bits and pieces of the details of your old life soon start vanishing away when the new life overcomes everything. No matter how hard you try, it won't mean anything until you decide what it is you exactly want. What you have to let go and who you need to go away. With the lives of half the nation depending on you, it's a decision you have to make without a moment of hesitation. It's the life you know or the life that you need to become, a decision that is bound to make you suffer either way.
Hong Ji Hong is one of Seoul's most respected and diligent detective there is. With ten years of experience under his belt, he has seen the worst and best of things as a detective. Whether he likes or hates the certain decisions he has to make, it's his job. And that's where everything goes wrong, something that he can't handle unless he does the impossible. With a wedding ahead in his future with his girlfriend, he has to make a decision. To drop the career he loves doing or choose the safe path so his future life ahead with Chun Sung Im can still be intact. He just never realized that there is a lot more obstacles that he needs to overcome. And most importantly, there are people he hasn't met yet that he never knew could possibly change his life the way it did.
Yoo Hye Jung isn't dumb or afraid of most things that women should be. That's where the difference starts - she isn't like most people. Growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods, she has learned to be strong for herself and the family that depends on her. Which is exactly why she would do anything and everything for those people. The type of life that she's living, it has a moral routine. Nothing should be disturbed and everything should be in order. But when she slowly start to lose sight of what she's supposed to keep in mind, everything slowly start to fall apart. And she's stuck with a question that she doesn't know the answer for - is she willing to leave the life that she once knew for a life that has it's uncertainty?
Chun Sung Im is a confident, beautiful, and strong woman who knows what she wants and when she wants it. With a high ranking job, she doesn't let anyone step down on her especially men. There are a lot of things that she has under control but only one that she never needed to. With a painful past, Sung Im doesn't let many people in her life. The wall that she built around her heart is considerably strong but still fragile. She breaks easy and she carries her heart in her sleeve. Hong Ji Hong is the one person that has proven to her that love is meant to be in everyone's lives. It's meant to heal people and make them believe that they can be better. But when the faith she put in Hong Ji Hong start to vanish away, she starts building that wall around her again. And this time, she won't let anyone in ever again.
Most characters in this story is based from SBS's hit drama Doctors. I am not associated by this drama or any of the characters. This is now just purely my rendition and different take for these characters in a different story than the drama itself.
