Activity: please make sure to promote activity once you're accepted into the roleplay. Do not join without any plans of being active. Since you've already made an effort to go through our application process, it wouldn't hurt to make the best out of your stay. We will make sure to do our best in order to make our community worth staying in!
godmodding and meta-gaming: You are not allowed to portray your muse as if he or she is above anyone else. Please keep it in mind that the essence of the homes within the universe is to create a homely environment for children who are isolated from the normal. You are not allowed to godmod your fellow members without being granted permission, nor are you allowed to make your muse become more powerful than any other muses within the roleplay.
peculiarity: We have provided a set of peculiarities you're allowed to choose from in the roleplay guide page of this thread. When choosing a peculiarity, please refer to that list. There is, however, a limit to how many peculiars may be allowed to take on one peculiarity, so once the slots of that peculiarity has been taken up, you may have to choose another one. To those who wishes to apply as siblings with their friends, please keep it in mind that you and your sibling/s must have the same peculiarity, because of the genes you share. If you are to apply as siblings with a friend, do let us know upon submitting your form.
Writing style: peculiardom is a literate roleplay; however, we do allow the use of script when interacting with other members in-character wise. Still, we encourage everyone to use paras when writing a thread in the in-character groups. We do not encourage the use of emoticons and/or emojis when interacting in-character. As much as possible, please do write them out!
character limit: We only allow one character per head. In order to make sure everyone can be active, a member will only be allowed to have one muse. But if you do prove yourself active enough, we might make an exception (this is still tentative, as we'll have to monitor your activity in order for us to decide). There is no limit, however, to how many times you wish to change your character's identity (name & face claim), as long as you seek the permission of any admin available before making any changes.
character changes: as I've mentioned, there is no limit to changing your current character's identity as long as you ask permission first. However, we are a bit strict when it comes to changing loop and peculiarities. Since you've already chosen a loop upon application, it will remain your muse's loop until your arrival. If you wish to transfer to another loop, you must write it out, and it must be a part of your character's background that you came from another loop: which is the first loop of your choice. Other than that, you must also talk to the ymbryne of the loop you wish to transfer to before writing out anything. As for the peculiarity, you must first talk to the admins about why you wish to change and what peculiarity you wish to change into.
dramas and issues: Although it is inevitable, we do our best to steer clear from ooc dramas and issues. As much as possible, if there are any problems and concerns, talk to any admins available, or perhaps create a group chat with all the admins within the roleplay and lay out your concerns. We hope that everyone will get along in order for us to establish a peaceful community. the only form of drama we ever encourage are dramas in-character, but certainly not ooc!
characterization: There is no maximum or minimum limit of ages on the muses you wish to portray; though we would honestly love to have young peculiars around! Given the universe of the roleplay, it would be pleasant to have children within the community.
romance and intimacies: Although it would quite be interesting to witness romance budding between two muses, please make sure to keep intimacies in private, or perhaps place a trigger warning in the opening of the thread to let everyone know that your thread might contain possible explicit contents. Not everyone finds it comfortable to come across intimacies, and we enforce this rule to avoid discomfort.
dating, marriage, pregnancies: there is a week-long dating ban. Please get to know the other roleplayers within the community more before getting into a relationship with someone. No, we do not allow moving couples, as this is a literate roleplay that involves thorough plotting. If you wish to join with a possible love interest, within your week-long ban, please do show your in-character romantic development. Marriage is allowed, as well as pregnancies -- but these matters must first be settled with an admin before announcing anything official.
