Foreword

To my dearest,

I’m sorry we cannot be with each other anymore. It was not your fault in believing in love. They just couldn’t stand us together, knowing that we would change the delicate balance in society. I’m sorry that I could never tell you that I loved you. I still love you to this day. I couldn’t fulfill any of your goals for our relationship, though you’ve done more than enough for me. It breaks my heart knowing that I can’t see you, and because of it, I can never send you this letter, and you may never know about my love that grew for you.

a/n: hello! i’m back to writing on here again lolol. i got inspired from the inspiration prompts from soulmate writing contest (should definitely check them out!!). I'm not using a specific prompt from there, but just the general ideas I found while skimming through the chapter :D

anyways, this is very loosely inspired by a book i read in my 8th grade english class, The Giver. (I would explain the plot but it might reveal more of my story than intended lol it’s a great book though I would recommend it.) this will probably be a three-shot (though depending on if you count a prologue and epilogue, it's five chapters lol). hopefully you’ll all love it!
