“I just thought that she….” Yerim began, but because the bell started ringing indicating lunch time was over, her voice couldn't be heard.

“I’m sorry, Yerim. What is it that you’re telling me?” Wendy asked when she couldn’t catch what she’s trying to say.

“I just thought that she….” Yerim stopped. She fell into silence once more.

Wendy was stuck with it again; Yerim's mutism. She was quite confidence and smiling when she listened to Yerim who started to open up herself but then it was all spoilt by that bell. Stupid bell that had to ring at that peak moment.        

Kim Yerim is an 8 years old child who was put into a special class in the town due to her selective mutism which make it hard for others to communicate with her. However, Wendy Son, the teacher in charge, is firm to wanting to discover why this kid was always quiet when she was reported to be normal from her previous school.
