Jaejoong’s life seemed to brighten up a little bit, as Yunho made efforts to make him smile often, yet… Changmin’s absence was heavy and he didn’t know how to survive that. He was there for most of his life, Jaejoong didn’t know how to handle this emptiness. “Hi!” Yunho got in and Jaejoong was fast to smile and beam at his boyfriend. “I am taking you out for lunch. No discussion!”

Jaejoong sighed with a smile, and stood to follow his boyfriend. “Did you study that file I sent you yet?” he nearly called Yunho Minnie but held himself in time. It needed time, he admitted, to get used to the situation. After all, they broke their twenty years old friendship just few months ago. “Yunho?” He looked up to notice Yunho’s shocked eyes and looked over to see the big screen that showed the news with a clear headlight.

“The CEO Shim Changmin legendary Wedding.”  Jaejoong froze and nearly broke when a warm hand held his and he looked at Yunho who was studying his face.

“Let’s go. I have a file to study” Jaejoong smiled and truly tried to sound as usual. However, he could feel Yunho’s worry raise. “I am fine.” Yunho didn’t push and they went to a restaurant nearby, their usual place. Their discussion drifted around until Yunho spoke about it.

“Will you go if he invites you?” Jaejoong knew what Yunho meant so he just ignored it. “I don’t want you to get hurt… I know how much he means for you.” Jaejoong looked up and beamed. “Boojae…”

 “I doubt he will invite me to his wedding. He was clear about the finality of his words. He no longer considers me as part of his life.” Jaejoong said with a smile. “It means I have no right to show up, but I may send him a wedding gift.” Yunho wished he could object. Despite the jealousy, he knew for sure that Changmin was deeply in love with Jaejoong. They carried on with their day when Yunho got a wedding invitation.

Yunho got it perfectly. Changmin had finally accepted the arranged wedding between him and the Hwang holding. Rumors had grown out of his refusal but now he did accept it and it tore a frown from Yunho’s expressionless face. “What are we doing… What are we doing, Changmin?” He tried to hold himself from calling Jaejoong and asking him if he received the invitation too but Jaejoong got in and noticed Yunho holding the brown and gold card.

“What is this?” he picked it up before Yunho could stop him. He observed as Jaejoong’s smile fell, put the card down and stepped back. “I came to tell you I finished and I want to go home early. Should I wait for you or…?”

“Go home, Jaejoong. Go and rest.” Jaejoong smiled and walked out with a heavy expression. As soon as he was home, he got in the room Changmin and he used for over eight years as boyfriends and twelve years since Changmin graduated high school. It was unused for months since Changmin left as Jaejoong insisted on keeping it the way it was. Yunho and he fought at first about it but they soon forgot about it and moved on.

He slept in the bed, inhaling the faint but still perceptible smell of Changmin’s shampoo. He caressed the side where Changmin used to sleep and shed tears he didn’t want to hold. He cried Changmin oh so many times, even more than he did when Yunho left. Changmin meant so much to him and he wished he could fix things up. He didn’t expect Changmin to fall in love, despite their relationship, since he didn’t realize how in love with Changmin he was back then.

“I am happy… I am so happy, Changmin. Yet… Sometimes I miss you and it hurts like hell.”
