The news spread like wildfire trough the city. The big screens on the buildings lit up the dark evening with the information concerning the departure of the prince and his closest friends. It only took a couple of hours for the rumors from the castle to reach the streets. Apparently he was to travel to earth, a demand by his own father, the king. No one was quite certain about the reasons for this though and the king was yet to release a public statement.

The king sat in his office, unable to go trough the papers on his desk. His mind was elsewhere. He knew he would have to tell the people eventually about his reasons for sending his only son away for an unknown amount of time. A small headache started to rise from thinking to much and he gently massaged his temples to ease the ache.

His thought brought him to the talk he had with his son this morning. The utter look of shock that spread across the prince's face upon hearing that he would have to leave. 

"Why?" the question that left his son's lips was barely loud enough to be heard. Even though the king had been able to hear him, he decided to ignore the question.

"The portal will open in three hours, that should be enough time for you to prepare yourself. Your things are already packed and I've put in money on a credit card" the king said with a steady voice. His son only stared at him with disbelief in his eyes. "There is an envelope in your bag. Don't open it until arriving." He paused and waited for his son to answer. Realizing this, the prince slowly nodded, not knowing what else to do. "I do hope you will realize the importance of that letter" the king said, now with a more tender voice.

The room fell quiet again. The boy let it all sink in for a couple of seconds before speaking again. This time much clearer. "But why would you do this?" the prince asked and the king shook his head slightly. 

"I'm sorry son but that is something I won't be able to tell you right now." he answered.

"But father-.." He could hear the desperation in his son's voice and disappointment in his eyes. "I belong here, not on earth with all the humans. They don't even know we exist." the words were filled with panic and even though the prince knew his words wouldn't change the king decision, he just couldn't stop them from leaving his mouth. "I wouldn't know what to do there all alone and-" 

"Prince Baekhyun!" the king cut him off, tired of hearing his excuses. "You will travel to earth, whether you like it or not. And you won't be going alone. Your friends will accompany you. I have already informed their families about this and they have all approved." he continued, never letting the determination in his voice falter. "Do you understand me?" 

"Yes father" the prince answered.

"Good, you're dismissed." the boy in front of him only bowed and left without another word. The door closed behind the prince and the king let out a sigh. "I'm doing this for you son."
