Chaerin and Minzy. 

They are step sisters and they treat each other like a real sibling. They have the same dad but have different birth mothers.

They got separated from each other when their dad died and Chaerin's mother decided to remarry and not take Minzy with them. (since she never thought of Minzy as her daughter). For her, Minzy was the constant reminder of their family's home wrecker. And so Chaerin was forced to move out of the country with her mom and new dad. She wasn't even allowed to tell her dear sister about it.

Because they didn't even leave a trail behind, Minzy only had one option-- she had to live alone.

One portentous day, a lad found her and decided to take her with him. Minzy was hesitant at first. But believing that her life would be more comfortable to have someone-- a friend in it, she finally accepts the guy's kind offer and stays with him. 

That guy became her oppa-- her best friend, her brother and her protector. 

Kwon Jiyong

Sometimes arrogant. Sometimes modest.

One second, he's super sweet and nice. The next second, he'd start swearing and would be damn mad.

In a word, people describe him as a bipolar.

He's super handsome, not to mention, extremely rich.

He was devastated when one day, their house caught fire and his whole family died inside it. He was only 18 at that time. It may seem like he's already a grown up boy. But he was the baby in their family. He wasn't around the area and he was partying with his friends when that occurred. He was greatly affected by the loss and he even tried taking his life away but was stopped by Minzy. 

He's Minzy's best friend and he swore to protect and love her always, knowing that she's the only one he had left. He's also vengeful to Minzy's family, who left the innocent child alone to live.
