It is one of those summer days when even breathing is tiring due the hot temperatures and the only thing that would help is stay at home with the air con at full blast laying in the couch, yet Hyukjae found himself outside, perks of being a poor student, he had to work on summers.

For the past couple years he found himself working as a lifeguard but the job frustrated him to no end, he was a couple of feet away from the water but he could not swim in unless there wasn't someone drowning, so this year he decided to look for another job. That's how he ended up every day, from Monday to Thursday, at the park in the hot hours of the walking 3 to 5 dogs a couple of hours.

Sometimes Hyukjae questioned his life choices, just sometimes.

When he got the idea he thought himself as a genius though he soon realised that dogs are a handful, the job had its perks; their owners.

Hyukjae was very much biual but his uality leaned towards boys more so he enjoyed going to Chansung’s house every Monday and Wednesday to pick up Jeong-gam a very beautiful husky. He would get to check him out and flirt like crazy, however his favourite client was Donghae, he was buff and had eyes that could rival of his puppy’s, a Maltese dog named Bada. Regretfully they weren't in friendly terms, yet.

Hyukjae blamed himself for it. whenever he was really into someone his brain stopped working properly and he became a stuttering mess. Still Donghae provided some eye candy which Hyukjae was just happy to look at.

Whistling, he made his way to Donghae's house, today he was going to hold a conversation with Donghae, he spent all night planning it. It had to start by a cheerful greeting (a “good morning!” would do, he did not want to embarrass himself anyfurther) and hopefully it'll end with Hyukjae asking him out.

Hyukjae was resolved and in a happy mood, however it disappeared once he heard yelling and things breaking from inside donghae's house. There were two voices, one of a girl and donghae's yet he could not make out what they were saying. 

The girl stormed out with Donghae in his tail and Hyukjae saw it coming before it happened, she slapped donghae across the face, hard. The girl left fumming and donghae cursed under his breath when he saw Hyukjae he cursed again and without saying anything he went back inside his house leaving door open for Hyukjae to follow.

Hyukjae stayed mute as donghae applied an ice pack on his reddened cheek.
