Dying Flame

Description

Hoya never thought he'd ever lose the ability to dance.

Foreword

For the umptenth time that day, Hoya had his gaze out the window. His emotions were flighty; alternating between anger and sadness. It had been a month - one miserable month - since the last time he had entered the room he once referred to as his sanctuary. The words he refused to let sink in still circled his mind.

"You might not be able to dance."

"Temporarily?"

"No...Forever."

The door to his room opened. Knowing who his guest was, Hoya shut his eyes; releasing his frustration through a long, exasperated sigh. A thud was heard, indicating the presence of a chair next to him. The person cleared and set her eyes on him.

"I've asked you for the past month and I shall ask you again. What's your story?"

Hoya averted his gaze towards her, his jaw tightening. His gaze hardened and he hoped it would scare her off but just like the past month, it had no effect on her. Eventually, Hoya gave up. He knew no matter how many times he ignored her, she would keep prying into his life. Nothing would stop her from trying, he had come to learn that. Softening his gaze, he turned away and stared out the window once more.

"I once had a passion."
