“D-don’t come any closer!”  I screamed.

He chuckled, his voice a low rumble as it came out. He took a step closer and his eyes glared at me with such a menacing manner , I almost dropped what was in my hand.

“I’m warning you! I’ll shoot!”  I stumbled backwards and the small handgun felt heavier with each step I took. The gun was pointing to the man who suddenly burst into a fit of laughter showing his pearly white teeth. The laugh resonated throughout the quiet room and his canine teeth in particular made him look so charming. It was a laugh that suggested playfulness with a hint of  devilish. I cringed inwardly because it was sickly beautiful to my ears.

When his laughter died down, he did one quick sweep of me, from head to toe and stared at me again with his dark brown eyes. His lips curved upwards again and I shivered when he spoke. His sinister like voice shook me and if I wasn’t dead then, I am now.

“You wouldn’t dare, doctor.”
