Warning: This story, 'The Zeta' is not your normal wolf!au story you might read on AFF, a lot of clinche things won't imply here,

* First off, there is no concept of true mates here. Just like in our world two people meet, fall in love then gets married... similarly, mating is another name of marriage here. Werewolves mate to flaunt their relationships.

* Marking means binding the inner wolf spirits together, so its a necssary part in order to mate. Love making has no role in the process of Mating.

* Only dominant werewolf would mark his/her better half (And ranking is according to the statuses... meaning being Alpha, Beta, Delta, Kappa and so on... not on gender)

* Zeta is a rare and uniques werewolf so in his case it's necessary that Zeta marks back the one he chooses to mate with. If the Zeta is marked against his will then he has the power to reject other's mark, but there needs to be valid reason to do so... like if the dominant wolf you, hurt you physically or mentally leaving a trauma behind.

* Once a werewolf is rejected, he or she cannot mark the Zeta again.

* Zeta can become pregnant without being mated (Note that, this is NOT mpreg fic- neither am I fond of those- this is just some referrence)

* Being mated doesn't mean falling in an unexplanable and unbreakable love, where you become unbearably clingy and mushy... mates can fight and can live away from each other for as long as they wish but yes the removal of mark is near to impossible.

* Werewolves have a unique scent to them... but all the werewolves in general... different statuses doesn't give out different scents, in that way no one can figure out who is who.

Disclaimer: I am aware of the fact that there is another fanfic (HunHan Fanfic) named as ‘The Zeta’ and frankly speaking I actually read that fic quite long ago but I assure you the only resemblance both the fics has is of the name, otherwise in regard to plot and storyline both the fics are entirely different. Read it and see it yourself :):):)
