Why is this girl writing a christmas story in May/June?

To answer that question I need to tell you that my best friend since preschool is returning home from being overseas as a marine for almost two years. For the last three years we missed chirstmas together which is our favorite holiday to spend together. 

We have a ton of traditons that we do that we haven't been able to do in a while.

But since he is going home at the end of the month we are planing on doing christmas together which kind of inspired this fanfiction.

Also I'm entering this long one shot apart of Word Count Writing Contest by heclgehog.
