Chapter 4: Sweet but still sad...

Chapter 4: , you've made me cry. This is so emotional and absolutely amazing, you're extremely talented.

This is such a unique, somber, and very emotional fic. I remember reading it when there were only two chapters out, and then losing it amongst my likes on tumblr and forgetting who the author was (or you had changed you name, I can't remember xD) and being like "no, no, no!" And having to dig through various blogs to find it again. Haha. ^^ The soulmate trope is hands-down my favorite, but this was so different and really sweet yet so totally sad and I found myself with tears this read-around. I wonder why Jinki is done with his time on earth while Taemin isn't? And how Tae now has lifetimes where they don't meet and fall in love, which is kinda sad. I wonder the reason.

This was in particular a poignant part: "He would lead the souls down whatever path was needed for them to move on. Babies he would carry and children sometimes held his hand but rarely a word was spoken." -- that last sentence carries so much more weight than you would think it could. The many times Jinki has seen death, and the varying stages in life it came to its recipients. Babies, children... It's very sobering, and heartbreaking to think about.

And then this: "Onew automatically smiled, ear to ear. Hearing his laughter and excitement filled him with a warmth he had no idea existed in him until now. It made his heart ache, he felt his eyes prickle with the sting of tears. Not out of sadness though, no. He couldn’t explain it, but he knew this feeling wasn’t sadness." -- the way you slowly reintroduce emotions to Onew (with him not even knowing what they are at first) is something I didn't catch upon first read (I don't know how), but it's a beautiful thing.

And their discussion of anger, fear, and denial. Tae's view on living life to the fullest and treating every day as a chance was just so sweet. So deep for a fanfic (the entire concept, really!) ! Very nice job here, as always. :))

awwww so romantic and beautiful I. *wipes tears* I love this story so much. . Love it love it love it. *hugs* I wonder how many lives he has left before they can move on. I love the idea of him waiting each time its so romantic over and over *right in the ontae feelzzz* That fire scene had me in tears
