chapter 6 : her trainee life

 

 

 

 

“ one two three four— ” “— ugh! Min yoonmi! ” Yoonmi flinched, in reflex at her name being called out she turned around her hands together in both fear and obedience. It had happened so many times that she even remembers her manager's voice and can judge her mood by her tone The song that was playing loudly finally was cut off after her other manager paused the mp3 player. Silence soon suffocated her, only the sound of heavy breaths filled the almost empty room. “ did i or did i not tell you to revise the choreo? ” Yoonmi fell silent, she could feel pairs of eyes shooting lazers at her back as her other group members were standing behind her, probably annoyed at her not being able to focus entirely on her dancing. They were promised a good night rest if every member finished learning as well as perfected the choreo; and she did, she indeed had revised the choreo the only problem was doing splits— as well as moving in general— was not very comfortable on her period. Yoonmi pursed her lips, her sweaty hands gripping on each other tightly as she embraced herself for her main manager's harsh words that were undeniably true But the latter did not continue her scolding “ plus 5 hours ” She growled, without another word went over across the room to start the song once more. Yoonmi could not deny she was feeling guilty for their extra practice hours and could not bring herself to face her members but as the song started blasting once more, the bass shaking her body she turned around ignoring the leader's glare from the mirrors. Yoonmi sighed tiredly, her backpack slung on her shoulders, it was tilted slightly due to the fact of her only using on handle on her shoulder. She was tired. Her body was sore. And was dry as if she had not drunken water in a year She massaged her neck before stretching it, she swore she had bought a bottle of water with her but when she was about to devour the suddenly tasty plain water, her bottle was no where to be found. And she knew exactly why It was a norm for her bottle of water, even food actually to have gone missing. Her members would steal it from her and apparently she thought it would be ok to take food from here just because of the fact that she does not get angry. And by she, she meant kaeun the vocalist in her group and also, kaeun was a few years older than her. Upon arriving in their dorm, she shut the door close as she was the last to come inside. She had to force herself to walk for another few steps into her room before plopping herself onto her soft boyfriend others refer as a bed. A few hours had passed, yoonmi blinked her eyes rapidly before scanning the dark place she was in. She tapped her hands on the bed, knowing herself she would place her phone usually on the side of her bed when she is sleeping. She finally got a hold on her phone and she turned it on using the phone as her source of light She scratched her neck, feeling very dehydrated. Deciding to get a glass of water, thinking that her dehydration was the cause of her waking up at 6am only after 3 hours of shut eye. Yoonmi walked over to the kitchen, she was barely awake and her brain felt like it was not functioning due to her exhaustion and lack of sleep. Her phone beeped, indicating that the battery had died she could not even groan due to her dry throat she merely tossed it somewhere that she believed was on the kitchen counter. She heard her phone sliding over with a screech before halting to a stop but there was not thumping sound, indicating that it has not fallen and is safe from a broken screen Her hands roamed freely on the table for the glass that she saw briefly before her phone died only to hiss in pain at the sharp sensation that went deep in her skin She gripped her wrist, feeling a thick liquid oozing down her palm. Stomping her feet in annoyance, she quickly made her way to the toilet and the lights. She was right; blood was flowing down her wrist and dripped on the floor; luckily it was not a very deep cut, she predicted that it would stop bleeding in awhile. She took out a
