Chanyeol quickly shuts off his alarm with a swipe to the right, and stretches his arms above his head with a loud groan as he peeks his eyes open, allowing himself to adjust to the bright sunlight creeping through the blinds of his window. Yawning, he swings his legs over the side of the bed, rubbing at his eyes. It takes him a moment to realize something is off; that something, or rather, someone is being way too quiet. He glances to the side where Baekhyun’s pillow lies – the same pillow the little guy had adamantly jumped onto and declared his when Chanyeol tried to get him to sleep in his own bed – only to notice that the pillow is empty. PockettBaek’s blanket and pillow (felt blanket and sponge pillow, to be exact) are in a tangled mess on the soft white pillow that lays adjacent to Chanyeol’s own. Baekhyun, however, is nowhere in sight.

Worried, Chanyeol hops out of bed and looks around the room. When he doesn’t spot Baekhyun, he rushes out of the room, trying to calm his panicking heart, and searches the rest of the house.

“Baekhyun?” Chanyeol calls out, combing through each and every one of the usual hideouts pocketBaek was known to occupy whenever they play their games of hide-and-seek. He becomes restless when he pulls the top off of the cookie jar – his last hope – and still does not see the miniature being. “BAEK!” he yells, running into the hallway, desperately shoving his feet into the sneakers by the door. A giggle coming from the kitchen gives him pause, and as Ch
