People come and go.

I often hear that sentence from my father. He used to tell me stories about people walking in his life and leaving as well. He used to tell me how powerful and meaningful that sentence is. But I was just a boy back then.

I was a boy who didn't care about the world. I was a boy who made mistakes and wrong decisions. I was a boy who was blinded by anger and hatred. I was a boy with immature mind. I was a boy who didn't understand what that meant.

What does that mean?

My father told me that our life is a long road we'll have to walk bare foot. Sometimes its tiring because you never know when you'll stop. Its tiring and sometimes all you want to do is to give up on walking. Because every time you walk there are pebbles and broken glasses that will wound up your feet. And that wound will always leave a scar reminding you about the things that caused you pain, that caused you regrets. That wound will sometimes make you feel numb that even your own self don't know what it should feel anymore. 

Sometimes we'll meet people that would pass by. 

But the most confusing part of our long and tiring life is when we are standing at a crossroad and we're stuck in there lost. We don't know what road we shall walk. We don't what road will make us happy in the end. 

And there I met a girl. She was standing, waiting for me to walk towards her. She was smiling. She was happy. And I knew she is someone who wont just come in my life and go. I knew she's someone who would stay. 

But I walked towards the other road and left her alone. 

From that moment on I understand what it really meant because I am that person who just came into her life and left.
