“I can do this! I can do it by myself!” You cheered as you tried to open the strawberry jar.

No matter how much you tried, the lid didn’t move at all. After a lot of groaning and sweats later, you gave up and placed the jar on the table.

“I think this strawberry jam is faulty, we have been scammed Jaehyun” You announced to Jaehyun with a straight face.

Jaehyun shook his head and reached for the jar.

“Hey, I told you the jar is faulty, I tried opening it-“

Jaehyun opened the jar like it’s the easiest thing in life, it is, but why couldn’t you opened it just then?

“What the-“ You gaped at the strawberry jam. Jaehyun was clearly proud of himself, it was evident from his smirk. “How did you opened it? I-I” You started to think if you are the abnormal one here, how can you be so weak? You couldn’t even opened a jar for god sake!

Jaehyun raised his shoulders and began to spread the strawberry jam onto his bread. Your failure had made you lose your appetite, you lay your head the dining table, disappointed of yourself. Why are you so useless?

“What is wrong with you? You seems moody these days, is it the time of the month again?” Jaehyun asked, stealing glances at you as he eat his bread.

“No it’s not, that was a week ago…” You answered him before you came to a realization, why are you talking about your period so casually with a boy? Well, this is Jaehyun, your super smart junior and neighbor. It seems as if it was yesterday when you and Jaehyun played at the park, at that time the two of you were only 10.

You used to bully him before and broke his favourite robots, but somehow the two of you grew close and become best friends.

Jaehyun raise an eyebrow, sure you are emotional but he never seen you so discourage before. Not to mention your refusal to elaborate on that matter. Jaehyun guessed it have something to do with him. “Then why are you like this?” He tried again.

“You wouldn’t understand…” You sighed.

“Then make me understand” Jaehyun said with an authoritative voice.

You hated it when Jaehyun use that deep tone of him, you raised you head and glared at him.“You always do that”

“Do, what?” This when your moment of randomness came, Jaehyun thought to himself. You are so unpredictable.

“You always act like you are older than me, but you must remember I am the older one here. You don’t even call me noona” You complained.

Bingo. Jaehyun knew it, it is about him.

“And…why is this a problem?” You never had a problem of him not calling you noona before.

“You called Hana unnie, noona” You pointed out. “And she is the same age as me. I cannot believe it!” You knew Hana unnie is prettier and nicer than you but it’s not fair if Jaehyun got to call him noona but not you. It hurts your pride.

Jaehyun stared at you with an unreadable expression, you are not a face reading expert but somethings told you that Jaehyun was holding back something.

“I have basketball practice after this, so I have to go and change first” Jaehyun spoke after a long silence.

“What that’s it? I thought you were going to told me your reason for not calling me noona!” You chased Jaehyun who is making his way to your front door.

“I was going to told you but…” He trailed off.

Why is so hesitated to tell you “But?”

You failed to realize that you were tiptoeing and your face was extremely closed to Jaehyun’s. Jaehyun gulped at the closeness, his heart was beating crazily inside but he didn’t want to lose his composed and cleared his throat.

“You are too close” He said as he pushed you away with his pointy finger on your forehead.

“Tell me Jaehyun, I want to know the reason” You tried to make the cutest face that you can make, you knew Jaehyun couldn’t stand your cuteness.

“Bye!” Jaehyun stormed out of your house.

You glared at the closed door and sighed. Why is it hard for Jaehyun to tell you? Maybe he is afraid that he would hurt your feelings.

“That’s it! from now on, I will show Jaehyun that I can be independent and make him call me, noona!” You were determined to make it happen.

“Just watch Jaehyun, I will regain my noona status!”

A/N: I didn't know how this happened but I couldn't help myself from making this oneshot of Jaehyun NCT. It surprise me really... I don't know that I'll be a fan of Jaehyun.
