Third cancelation *Her Point of View*

“Babe, I’m sorry but I have to cancel our date.”
            That’s what he told her before he was rushed off of the phone and the over powering sound of a dialtone echoed throughout her apartment, until she finally hung the phone up and gently set it down on her stone counter tops in the kitchen.  She then sighed and looked down at the black cocktail dress that hugged her curves before walking towards the bedroom, slowly peeling off the dress. When she finally reached her bedroom door she had her dress gathered in her arms with care that was quickly thrown away as she tossed the dress into her open closet carelessly. Walking slowly towards her dresser she pulled out a pair of fuzzy pajama pants and a white lace cami, before looking up and seeing her face in the hanging mirror above her dresser. Her makeup was ruined from tears the young woman didn’t even realize that she was shedding.

            To be honest she felt a little childish to be crying over something so small, but she couldn’t help but to wonder how many more times he was going to cancel on her, after all this was the third time in only 2 weeks.
