Meanwhile with Taemin and Onew…..

Before the planned arrival of Minho and company in Paris, Taemin learned early on about the arrangement; he got the news from Onew. As typical of Taemin’s character, he just took it on a normal behavior – it did not come to him as something surprising as it had been both of their plans to come to Paris for the same reason. He is proud and happy that his brother has finally done it and made his way to come to Paris and basically same like him will chase his own dream like what he has been doing.

On this account, they both respect each other’s state of mind – each purpose and goal; he is not the type to take things as a threat but a challenge. Taemin over the years of living a different life in Paris has changed his character positively outstanding; he has just finished the following courses focusing on various fields like: music, chef, commercial management – in the field of hotel and restaurant as well as events.

When he learned that his brother was able to meet with Kibum, he just smiled and admired the usual spontaneity of his brother. He just smiles imagining how his older brother would feel meeting Kibum again just like when meeting the latter in Paris for the first time in so many years after separation. Right now, what Taemin is focusing to to complete what he has to accomplish so he can be able to be by Kibum side and confident around him.

In the moment he does not realize Onew walking towards him and surprised when the other put his arms around his shoulders, saying…

Onew:             (chuckling) Taemin… something bothering you…?

Taemin:           (looks at Onew) Hyung… there is something I have been trying to 
                        tell you but I just kind of waited for the proper moment.
                        I think this is the proper time I share to you something about me.
                        We have known each other for how long years now?

                        (raises his hands and does finger counting)
                        one, two, three years … oh… wait

                        (covers his lips) almost five years right?
                        Approximately… yeah five perhaps six…

Onew:             (chuckling at Taemin’s statement) Taemin, I don’t care about
                        how many years we have known each other…

                        (stomach growls) hhhrrmmm…. Someone is complaining…

Taemin:           (laughs) my goodness Hyung…
                        fine I will tell you about it during dinner time…
                        Go change while I cook something for dinner…

Onew:             (walking to his room) Thank you as always… Taemin…
                        My place please consider this as your home
                        since you agreed to move in as my companion…

Taemin:           (waving his hand) yeah… yeah… go on… change…
                        I know you can’t wait what food I will cook…
                        you sure eat no more in any restaurants that
                        I don’t understand why you even starve yourself not until
                        am the one who cooked your food…

Onew:             (smiles and raises both of his hands to his chest)
                        It simple Taemin… I love your cooking and you are a great chef…
                        I was not wrong to give you the responsibilities of managing 
                        25% of KPK’s hotels and restaurants here in Europe including London…

                        (looks at Taemin) Taemin… do you even realize how good you are?

Taemin:           (shaking his head) aaiisshhh hyung…
                        you are just hungry and currently in a delusional state…

Onew laughs on the way to his room while Taemin prepares their food then after Onew comes back and helps setting the dining table.

Onew:             Taemin, the table is ready…
                       (walks in the direction of Taemin) need some help?

Taemin:           (hands the cooked dishes) here could you bring these over to the table…?

Onew:             (eyes widen) wow… tastes really good… what you call these…

Taemin:           Pesto stuffed chicken and beef carpaccio…
                        I also prepared sausage soup and salad…

Onew:             ( lips and hugs Taemin) You’d be a perfect wife, you know that?

Taemin:           (gulps) uughh… hyung… thanks… come lets eat…

While having dinner, Taemin smiles watching Onew fully focused on his eating; he decides to continue their halted discussion when the time of taking the dessert. Thus, when it is about time for dessert, Taemin suddenly blurts out …

Taemin:           (looking at the Onew) Onew hyung… I am gay…

Onew:             (nods) I knew…

Taemin:           (serious tone) and I am deeply in love with Key hyung…
                        I guess this one you don’t know…

Onew:             (shakes) I knew it too… long time ago…

Taemin:           (heads jerks in surprise) how?!

Onew:             (smiling) Talking in your sleep… you fell asleep on the sofa…
                        when I woke you up… you dreamt probably of Kibum
                        and repeatedly said that you love him… but don’t worry…

                        I am not the type who judge people…
                        You are free to do, say and love according to what 
                        you know will make you happy… and that is all there is in life…

Taemin:           (exhales loudly) my… I can finally breathe…
                        honestly, I can’t call myself a gay through and through
                        I don’t know cause I might be able to fall in love with a girl
                        – but for Key hyung … the feeling is different…
                        I really love him… so perhaps I can consider myself gay…

Onew:             (smiles) Taemin, I actually admire your honesty and sincerity
                       as to how you embrace life and things around you…
                       you are amazing…

Taemin:           (blushes) sshh… hyung… thank you again…

                        (stops and softly says) I wonder when I can meet Key…
                        I want to see him…

Onew:             (smiles) Oh… talking about that… he mentioned to me before
                        that he wants to see you after you have graduated and
                        finished with your additional lessons.

Taemin:           (surprised) Really?

                        (giggling) My… I thought he has forgotten me… I am so happy…

Onew:             (smiling at Taemin’s behavior) Oh…  of course not...
                        He has good plans for you... How can he forget you...
                        Kibum is just busy and by the way as if you did not see him in years...
                        Since the time you have been in Paris...
                        you were able to meet him quite often but I am glad you are happy…
                        I will arrange a meeting for you and him… would you like that?

Taemin:           (rushes to embrace Onew) HYUNG!! THANKS!!

Onew:             (taken aback) Oh my… Kibum’s allure is really something…

Taemin:           (tilts his face to look at Onew) Ha?!
                        What did you say hyung?

Onew:             (shakes head) Oh… nothing…. foods are great…
                        I think I might gain another pound…

Taemin:           (smiles) we can always exercise hyung…

Onew:             (pouts) aahhh… an activity I am not a fan of…

Taemin:           (looks at Onew) Hyung… do you have a girlfriend…?

Onew:             (breathes heavily) aaaahhh… Taemin…
                        I don’t know how to approach a lady…
                        Perhaps I am not that good looking that nobody is attracted to me…

Taemin;           (gasps) goodness hyung… you are good looking, kind,
                        warm, funny, sweet, and many etc…
                        don’t put yourself down…
                        perhaps you are just a little stiff and too serious… you know…

Onew:             (laughs) fine… be my teacher… when the time comes…

Taemin:           (smiles and claps his hands) fine then…. Not a problem…
                        and thank you for letting me stay here with you… 
                        I like your company just to let you know…

Onew:             Thank you Taemin… same here…

Taemin:           (puts more food on Onew’s plate) Here putting some more…

Onew:             (smiles) nice… I can get used to this…. Thanks….

Taemin:           (chuckles) so my living with you serves you some 
                        good breathing environment…

Onew:             (nods) uuhmm… yeah… I think so…

Taemin:           (gasps) you think so… aaaiisshh… that’s kind of hesitating…

Onew:             (lifts his face with mouth full and shakes his head) hhhm… hhmm…

 (nods) hhmm… hhmm…

Taemin:           (gives Onew a puzzling look) what do you mean by…

                        (shakes head) hhmm… hhmm..

                        (nods) hhmm.. hhmm…?

Onew:             (swallows food) I mean yes… you are a breath of fresh air…

Taemin:           OOOhhhh… I… see… okay… here is your reward, more food…
                        I will feed you til you look like a log…

                     Onew:             (gasps)  now you are making a minus on my good looks…

                     Taemin:           (scrunches his face) uuuggghhh… do you know how that feels…?
                                             Quite a shiver…. A shiver….

                                             (raises his left arm to show the arm’s skin hair)…. Look?

Onew:             yeah… yeah… fine… you look good…

They have finished the whole night enjoying the meal while chatting and laughing.
