Chapter 25         Goodbyes and Promises…

         Minho, Taemin and Kibums’ Pledge…

Point in time:       Eve of Departure

Location:              Kim and Chois’ Residences and at the Airport

Key and Minho 

Minho gets up early in the morning to see Kibum, he doesn’t want to bother Kikwang or any of their household members to drive him to the Kim’s Manor – he grabs a scooter and makes his way out of their mansion. Nobody knows that he is going to see Kibum today except for Taeyang, who suggested that if he reaches the place, he would have to use another entrance for him to go through – thus, five meters away from the recommended gate, Minho gapes and remembers the place from way way back he first met Kibum. He gets down, parks his scooter, walks slowly from the point he had met Kibum – his heart starts to beat faster when all the memories rush in – he has never imagined that he would have this kind of growing feeling for Kibum.

He suddenly squats and visualizes how pretty and cute little Kibummie was during that time – and never imagine how the latter has grown more beautiful and pretty for a man at this time. Apparently, at this moment, Minho is ambivalent about his emotions - somehow bittersweet; sad that Kibum will be gone for a very long time thus the uncertainty of when they might see each other again plus afraid that the latter would probably be living a different life in the future, but feels very happy and blessed to have met someone perfect like Kibum therefore today, he will try to create a very good memory for him - although, just thinking about Kibum leaving, causes Minho too much heartache and sorrow.

He takes a deep breathe, stands up, gets his scooter and enters the place, surprised and amazed to see the beautiful garden - he stops and enjoys the magnificent view saying....

"I know I have faith that things will get better from this day onward..." clenches his hands and raises in full force upward - feeling confident; he smiles...

 He again rides his scooter on the way to the Kim's Manor, within thirty minutes he arrives at the main entrance door, smiles when he sees Taeyang waiting for him…

                      Minho:             (bows) Good morning Mr. Taeyang… how are you today? 

Taeyang:         (smiles at Minho’s gesture) Good morning to Sir Minho… I am fine thank you… you are
                        pretty early … just go ahead Sir Kibum’s room just manage yourself in – I believe he is
                        expecting you so he didn’t lock his room door last night.

Minho:             (blushes) Thank you Mr. Taeyang, is he awake? 

Taeyang:         (chuckles) I don’t think so but don’t worry just go get in however he doesn’t have any idea
                        that it’s this early you are coming to see him – perhaps he thought in the afternoon. 

Minho:             (embarrassed) Really? Mr. Taeyang I only have few more hours left with Kibum – I can’t
                        afford to make it shorter than it is already… 

Taeyang:         (sighs and feels sad for Minho) I am sorry that it has to be this way but you don’t have to 
                        worry – I will give you update every now and then…Okay? 

Minho:             (smiles) Thank you Mr. Taeyang – you are the best… I will go to his room now… (bows
                        and runs)...

Minho quietly runs to Kibum’s room, softly opens the door, slowly makes his way to Kibum’s bed place, smiles to see exactly Taeyang has suspected – on his side, still deep in his sleep. His eyes fall at Kibum’s ready to go luggage and still unclosed boxes awaiting to be filled up – trying not to be emotionally sad at the same time; to make his heart appease, he delicately climbs on Kibum’s bed and position himself higher than Kibum – his chin leveling the other’s forehead. He tenderly plants a kiss on Kibums head, rubs his back, carefully inserts his right hand under Kibum’s neck, wraps his left arms on the other’s back and overlaps his left leg on his waist finally closing their gap – on body side position.

Kibum unconsciously reacts by raising his right hand – doing the following involuntarily spontaneous motions as Minho surprisingly watches, Kibum

• feels Minho’s body making the latter chuckles
• placing on Minho’s face, dallying by stretching each of his eyes, pinching his nose, poking his cheeks and clipping his lips  

all of these cute actions making Minho chortles subsequently smiles coz unknown to anyone including his parents, he is the only who knows Kibum’s silly behaviors when sleeping – while pondering, he is taken aback when Kibum moves his body topping him, who now lays flat on his back – cautiously watching the latter next movements; as expected, Kibum; eyes closed, drags his self rising up – arms on both sides of Minho’s body for support, seats on the latter’s tummy and let his body falls without a warning, fortunately Minho with good reflex catches the other body and gently lays it on top of him and get the other’s arms and puts them above his shoulders. Then, what follows, Kibum closes his legs in between Minho’s legs thus the latter spreads his legs so Kibum can further maneuver his legs.

When Minho feels no more movements come next, he then embraces Kibum and fixes the latter’s head in a more comfortable position – much to his surprise Kibum snuggles his face on his neck creating a ticklish sensation on Minho. He breathes deeply and let out a heavy release of air for him to loosen up suddenly his eyes falls on Kibum’s nice neckline next time he knows, kisses the latter’s exposed very smooth and silky neck. He hugs Kibum and wait for the latter to wake up until he too falls asleep…

After awhile, Minho’s eyes slowly opens and laughs that he accidentally had fallen asleep surprise to see Kibum on his side – head resting on his right hand and his chest position at the level of his face, watching him waking up – giggles… Minho smiles in response and nuzzles his face on Kibum’s neck, who, then raises his hand and rubs Minho’s back and head and says… 

Kibum:             (gently grab Minho’s face and puts mint candy in his mouth) Here Minnie candy, by the
                        way, did you have a good sleep? 

Minho:             (nods) Sorry, I came early… did I bother your sleep?

Kibum:             No… it I fine – it’s just that I wonder how I managed myself on top of you… 

Minho:             (smiles and wraps his arms across Kibum’s body) yeah… you like to move a lot…
                        hhmmmm, you smell so good Bummie…. 

Kibum:             (surprised) really… did I, my sorry if I moved a lot? Anyway, would you like to help me
                        pack? 

Minho:             (nods) can we do that later? Let’s stay like this for the meantime, please? 

Kibum:             (giggles) alright Minnie, as you wish… (moves his body, back flat aligned with the bed)... 

Minho:             Keybummie? 

Kibum:             yeah… what is it? 

Minho:             hhmm…. (stutters) please don’t forget me when you move to Paris? 

Kibum:             Of course, I won’t! (caresses Minho’s cheek) you are my one and only best friend… 

Minho:             What about Taemin? 

Kibum:             (head raises back up to meet Minho’s face) Oh that, surprisingly, he declared his gay and 
                        confesses that he is in love with me...

Minho:             (shock and quickly recovers, asks) so, how do you feel about the whole declaration and
                        confession? 

Kibum:             (looks intently at Minho’s eyes) Minnie, being gay is not an issue to me – we are just
                        human free to live the life we choose as well as love who we decide to love and so, I
                        respect that. 

Minho:             (feeling nervous) And so, what about his confession? 

Kibum:             yeah… he did not pressure me in replying – he just let me know that he’s in love with 
                        me… I think… probably he’s just infatuated or shall we say admiration… but I admire his 
                        insistence and being earnest… quite mature for a young age… very admirable… It will
                        pass… I am happy that he feels that way for me though… 

Minho:             (hugs Kibum) Bummie… 

Kibum:             (chuckles) I am here Minnie, you keep calling me… so what’s bothering you, tell me… 

Minho:             (hesitating) I have been wishing to tell you something but I just since then did and still don’t
                        have the courage to… I am afraid of whatever the outcome would be? 

Kibum:             (looks at Minho) Minnie, you will never know unless you try, right? 

Minho:             (sighs) yeah… but I guess not this time… 

Kibum:             (chuckles) alright then, if you have enough courage then feel free to let me know, alright? 

Minho:             (sighs) ok… Keybummie? 

Kibum:             (giggles) and for the nth time… what is it Minnie? 

Minho:             When I am able and have the capacity to be on my own… I will come and follow you in
                        Paris… 

Kibum:             Oh… that’d be great… two more years and you’d be in college, right? 

Minho:             aaiisshhh I wish I can at least be at the same level as you… You are so good and
                        excellent in everything… I don’t know what you do exactly… like I am here (points at the
                        bottom) while you are so way to up there million miles away…. 

Kibum:             (giggles) Oh… Minho… you are describing like I am some sort of an alien… 

Minho:             (gasps) wwhhhoooaaa… Bummie, what if you are? 

Kibum:             (smacks Minho’s head) uuhmm… silly shake that brain of yours – you are talking
                        nonsense… 

Minho:             (makes a sob face) ooouccchh….see… you easily hit me while Taemin you don’t… You
                        love Taemin more than me? Don’t you… 

Kibum:             (chuckles) aaaiissh (rubs the part, where he smacked him) Minnie… why always
                        compare… you know I love you more… don’t be foolish such a silly guy… but that is what I
                        like about you… 

Minho:             like what… you like me like what?? (excitedly waiting for Kibum’s answer)... 

Kibum:             (laughing) Being a stupid cute idiot…. Aahhahah hahahha…. I love you like that… gosh…
                        you have not changed…the way you’re honest, sweet, and straightforward almost to the
                        point of being clumsy... 

Minho:             (crosses his arms and turns over to the side away from Kibum) aaaiii Bummie… you like
                        making fun of me… (keeps silent)...
