It Might Be You... Who Knows? (Sec. 1/Chapter 5 -Page 1/1)
It Might Be You... Who Knows...Sequel Story: The King and I (Will start at Chapter 537)
Intro: Bummie thinks, a weekend off is a breather he definitely needs. This is also where Bummie realizes, “if you can’t go
against it, ride along with it” – it is certainly a best solution for Bummie’s predicament…
Chapter 5- Us Together…
Just for A Little Fun…
Point in time: Kibum’s and Minho’s Age – Up to 10 years of Age
Location: Kim’s Manor
Bummie at the age of 10
Kibummie does not really need to be in school following the standard curriculum - as his IQ level at the age of 10 ranks with that of a top notch 4thyear Senior College Student. The primary reasons why Bummie’s parents register him to a private school are; to undergo the normal process of education and receive a certificate for every educational level he finishes.
However, it is pretty ironic that no matter how they try to avoid Bummie getting noticed – he is just really a perceptible magnificent creature. Liken to a Lamborghini Diablo or a pretty cute-looking nymph causing a trademarked school’s head turner. At first, it irritated Bummie but eventually learns to accept this type of peculiar destiny.
His registering at a private school is on a different case; better to call it as, “Learning The Art of Socializing”. The school has especially given Bummie a specific school time schedule system. Taeyang finds Bummie mature at his age as the latter is quite adaptive and understands his family’s status condition. Bummie still experiences these regular students’ activities hence Siwon thinks Bummie should not miss any single school activities.
Bummie’s parents are on business trip for two weeks and in which case, Bummie’s constant companions are: Taeyang and Joonie.
Since this schooling undertaking time started, Taeyang’s major every morning mission concern is to awaken Little Bummie. What’s Bummie’s main tragic disease - the two words “Wake Up” – quite understandable due to the fact that Bummie’s daily tasks are unfathomable for such a young age. Taeyang sometimes feel if this kid is providential or someone up there destined Kibum for a display of remarkable talents and capabilities for agonizing purposes - definitely not star-crossed – hope so.
Taeyang: (opens Bummie’s room) Sir Bummie, duty time.
Bummie: Five minutes more Mr. Taeyang, please?
Taeyang: ok, 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes,
Taeyang: (knocks on the door) Sir Bummie, Sir Bummie, please get up!
When Bummie does not answer – continues knocking and for about after two minutes knocking, decides to open the door and go inside. Taeyang usually knocks and comes in the first time every time he wakes up Bummie and knocks at Bummie’s door the second time as he believes Bummie is in the “shallow sleeping mode” so knocking would suffice. Surprised of what he sees, Bummie is ready to go – beaming widely – holds Taeyang hands gesturing to start.
Taeyang: Bummie sir, your parents are out for two weeks on business trip. If you wish to contact
them – they left their contact numbers to me. By the way, two more weeks is going to be
your final weeks in your school, please let me know your plans are so we can go plan
ahead.
Bummie: I am going to see my Papa - I believe he needs me for something. By the way, I am sorry to
bother you Mr. Taeyang - I know this job you have, being assigned to me is quite unlikely of
you. I hope you are alright with it.
Taeyang: (chuckles in amazement) Sir Bummie, you do not know – this is such an honor for me to
be of service to you.
Bummie: Mr. Taeyang, can I ask a favor from you?
Taeyang: Anything for you, sir?
Bummie: When my parents are out, can you call me by my first name?
Taeyang: Am not allowed sir.
Bummie: Am your boss here so – you must follow my order – and that is my order, ok?
Taeyang: Yes sir?
Bummie: Mr. Taeyang?
Taeyang: (stuttering) Bu-bu-bum-mie..
Bummie: Mr. Taeyang, my name is bummie – two syllables not 4.
Taeyang: Yes, Bummie.
Bummie: Gosh; finally, someone is calling me Bummie other than my parents inside the house. By
the way; Mr. Taeyang if my school schedule will allow, I would like to take a breather – like
a week off? I just want to enjoy a bit of this early childhood. I don’t want to think of anything
else for that whole week. I want to play, go to the beach, go to Disneyland and have fun
with those wonderful rides – well for now, beach would be fine.
Taeyang: Sure, Bummie. I don’t see anything wrong with that. You need to have fun too you know.
Bummie: Thanks, Mr. Taeyang! I am so excited, of course we will bring along Minnie with me – I
believe he will like it too.
Bummie is like a quite rare heavenly dose for most of the students. Soon as his car stops at school’s gate the students queue awaiting for his arrival – Taeyang can not suppress his veneration – always in full awe – how this kid can possibly bring everyone together to just focus on him. Taeyang wonders what more when he grows up – probably the world kneels at his throne. Now, that is odd – he thinks.
Seeing Bummie coming out of the car; all the girls and some boys gets the woozy feeling like touched by a magical beam. Pretty light-headed “daffodil” feeling as Taeyang pictures them out.
Taeyang: Bummie, am sure you are getting used to these kind of attentions, are you not?
Bummie: Yeah, avoiding is something I would like to happen if I could. I suppose it is ok as long as
no harm done.
Taeyang: (shakes his head) yeah, I think so. Look, as we are walking-talking, students gazes are still
on us.
Bummie: Look at it in the brighter side, Mr. Taeyang you will be getting same treatment as mine –
hope there would be someone at same age as you – hi hi hi.
Taeyang: You kid…
As these things are happening Minnie is somewhere in the corner of his classroom – watches and witnessing what is causing the rumpus – feeling to some extent, protective and wondering. He has not got time to sit around contemplating on Bummie’s mysterious life. He wonders how at almost same age besides same school – they have not got a chance to be classmates.
This is what he keeps on thinking for such a long time now and considers doing somewhat about it. Minnie also notices how his classmates and other students react on Bummie –and he is not an exemption either. However, right now Minnie decides to forgo with the continuing intrigue of “who’s Bummie really” after all.
Soon as he sees Bummie approaching the school, asks permission from the teacher to go out and runs as fast as he can – for the reason that he seldom has the chance to see Bummie even though they are neighbors and again besides studying at the same school.
Minnie gets out of the building calling his friend, Bummie – not bothered by the unwanted attention and gazes he receives – he is not bothered by it – and is even very proud that only he can get this close to Bummie.
Minnie: (panting and calls) Bummie! Bummie! Bummie!
Bummie: (soon as he recognizes Minnie’s voice – shapes his lips into “o”, smiles and stops to wait
for Minnie’s approaching) Hi Minnie! How are you?
Minnie: (Smiles widely with full of pride glances at students following Bummie) Bum-bum, why have
I not seen you for quite so long? Where have you been?
Bummie: Sorry Min-min I was just busy.
Minnie: Bummie, you are always busy – we never get to hang around much.
Bummie: Well; you saying that, would you like to join me for a weekend fun?
Minnie: Yes!!
Taeyang thinks – This should be fun.
