Staring at two different views on your window ledge

The first snow was falling but Tzuyu didn’t get to enjoy in together with anyone. Looking out at her window seat, no one seemed to care whether it was snowing or not. They were too busy either rushing to somewhere or focusing on their phones. She was at the local Starbucks sipping on a warm cup of gingerbread latte. This one was special because it was on the house from her friend, Chaeyoung. Tzuyu was still looking outside and didn’t notice the small girl slip into the seat opposite from her until she talked.

 

CY: Yo, Tzuyu… Tzuyu… Ya!

 

Tzuyu flinched and blinked a few times before focusing her attention towards the girl while she apologized for spacing out.

 

CY: What’s the matter? You don’t look good today…

 

TY: It’s nothing… Same old problems anyway…

 

CY: her again huh? You caught her with someone?

 

TY: Yea… She claims that it is for homework but… I doubt so…

 

CY: ohh… With that Dahyun girl again?

 

Tzuyu clenched her jaw at that name and nodded before she heaved a sigh.

 

TY: I don’t know anymore Chaeyoung… What should I do?

 

CY: She’s not worth your time yoda, just leave her.

 

TY: I want to but I can’t… I can’t bear to…

 

Chaeyoung sighed. It wasn’t her first time hearing about this problem. It has been going on after their first year of dating. Tzuyu could’ve just left but she knew how she felt.

Sana came back in the wee hours of the morning, reeking of the smell of another girl’s perfume. Sane tiptoed in to the apartment, careful to close the door quietly, not to wake Tzuyu up. She has been doing this a few times every week leading to now and Tzuyu didn’t need to ask to know where the latter had been to. As the squirrel turned around, she jumped at the sight of Tzuyu, still awake and sitting on the couch.

 

TY: You have been seeing Dahyun again haven’t you?!

 

SN: Tzuyu, I told you many times that we are just friends!

 

TY: Just friends?! Then why are you acting all flirty with her? Study? I didn’t know one could study in the cinema, neither did I know you took a course on movie analysis.

 

SN: you followed me?!

 

TY: So it was true.

 

SN: Tz- Tzuyu look, I’m sorry-

 

TY: I can’t take this anymore.

 

Tzuyu stomped out of the room and to the storage room to get a duffle bag out. Even though Sana tried to stop her from packing her bags, She pushed her way through and ripped all her clothes from her their hangers, stuffing them into her bag. While Sana held on to her, she zipped up her bag and shook the latter off her. This time, no amount of sweet talk could make her stay.
