Instead of 'could', Daehyun learns only of 'should' when Youngjae breaks. He tries to put him back together but he realises too late Youngjae fell apart alongside the time, and the remnants of him are buried throughout the years. With their happy ending gone from their grasps, Daehyun wonders where they went wrong. Perhaps today is gone, and tomorrow will forever be hopeless, but yesterday's still enough for Youngjae to smile. And so, Daehyun traps Youngjae in the past of eternal happiness and foolish, foolish faith.

This is where Jung Daehyun makes his first mistake. First and only, because he erased all the others along with himself.
