Welcome to the world where the mystical birds are real and can produce an offspring together with a human to create a half human half bird and they live with the humans.
Meet Jihoon, he is half Phoenix half human. He is treated as royalty by the birds but as a lowly, nerdy kid by the humans.
Meet Seungcheol, he is half firebird half human. He is treated with respect by the birds and the humans. Also, he might or might not have a crush on that nerdy kid in school who gets pushed around.

Foreword
"Jihoon, you know you can just throw a fireball at them right? You are half phoen---"
"SHHHH! What if someone hears you? There are children of the hunters! They might capture my dad! And we live forever by recreating from our own ashes, not hurl fireballs!" Jihoon covered the mouth of his only human friend.
"But they already know you are a hybrid!" Seungkwan whined.
"They think I'm half Raicho. Who hunts down a creature that can mimic the sound of thunder hello?" Jihoon flicked his best friend's head and went on to pick up his books.
"It's not fair! You are basically royalty!" Seungkwan sighed and helped pick up the scattered papers.
"It's alright, as long as my dad doesn't end up experimented and stuff." Jihoom gave a weary smile to Seungkwan who could only sigh (again) in response.
"You can't throw fireballs, but I can."
