introducing exo
despite the ongoing controversies that came along with debuting their newest group exo (comprised of exo-j, exo-k, and exo-m), sm entertainment proved everyone wrong not with words, but with the outstanding success of the group. everyone thought that the latest project would be a flop. a group whose numbers totaled 18 members? no, thanks. definitely not going to happen. even with the proposed subunit groups that the public knew about, they still weren't buying it. boy, did they take back their words when they realized that this group would be the next biggest thing that would ever happen in the entertainment industry. the idea was original, well planned and thought out with talented members who could back up the ceo's crazy ideas. the higher ranks of sm entertainment planned for one whole group to be represented by 3 smaller sub unit groups. the first group would be an all male group that sings in korean and promoted in south korea. this is exo-k, the k standing for korean. the second group, similar to the first group, consisted of all males, but sings in mandarin and promoted mostly in china. this would be exo-m, which stood for mandarin. last but not least, the third group was made up of all girls and promoted mostly in south korea. this group ended up becoming exo-j, which stood for joy. some other subunits could have been made with a mixture of the male and female members, but the higher ups saved that for a rainy day. in spite of the fact that everyone doubted what they were doing, the truth is they knew exactly what they were doing. experimentation is hard, but when done right, can lead to innovation and extreme success.

I will be choosing 5 characters for the story! I'll be including my character, so yeah. you're applying to be apart of exo-j, but more detailed information will be given in the cheatsheet, which you should read carefully.
if your character ends up chosen, please comment often! I really appreciate it and it lets me know you're still actively reading. if you don't comment within 2-3 chapter, i'll have to out your character.

wow guys, it's really weird to be back. if you don't know me from before, i'm Lily and I used to be more active around summer of 2013. so yeah, it's been a long time coming. I just remembered about this acc and my stories and when i came back, i just reminisced a lot about my stories, especially this one. it bugged me a lot that I never even finished this, let alone got past the application process. so here I am, itching to write another girl group fic and determined to finish it! btw I was the author of the exo project iris and hera. I also lurked around a lot the past couple of days so hopefully I'm a lot more up to date with how things are now than they were before. a lot of things have changed! I changed a lot of things from this fic it used to be to what it is now. instead of 2 groups, it's now only 1 girl group since focusing on 12 characters is hard in itself. you won't be limited to exo as love interests and i'm opening it up to anyone, really. i'll go into more detail about everything in the cheatsheet. hopefully you guys will support this fic and love it as much as I do! if you're wondering about my other fics, umm... I probably won't start them up again unless I finish this fic. honestly, this is the one concept that I liked the most out of all 3, so let's get this started!
