Chapter 3: I'm Done Here; I'm Moving On
Every maid in the café has painful memories..
Painful experiences and pained hearts.
If it wasn't for their best friends..
They would never have lived their lives up to this level.
He he~ Couldn't help it! ^_^ I'm a fan of PiZap anyways! xD
"I told you to stay away from me!" Sungmin yelled, pushing the guy away.
"Sungmin, would you just listen to me!" his stalker shouted.
Sungmin gripped his fists, glaring at the young man opposite him. Taemin pushed off the hood covering his head and pulled off his glasses. He pushed aside his fringe and looked up at him. Sungmin bit his lower lip.
Lee Taemin. He hated him more than his life. Okay yeah, maybe he didn't really hate his life...But he sometimes did so, okay. Taemin was his junior, and once stalked him for a year until Sungmin couldn't handle it and once confronted him.
He bluntly confessed he liked him, and Sungmin rejected his confession; explaining to him that he was well;...straight. Well, actually, not. Two months later, Sungmin's mother told him someone was moving in with them and when he saw who it was; he was horrified. Taemin was his cousin, and he didn't even know! He didn't want to live with his sort of..half stalker cousin but he didn't had a choice. He always quarelled with him, but his cousin never changed his feelings to him.
One day Sungmin moved out of the house and he immediately broke all contact with him. Taemin kept searching for him until one day he found him and pleaded for a chance.
"I'm not gay, Min! You know that!" he shouted.
"Then why are you working at a café as a maid?!" he argued.
Sungmin was speechless.
"Just...I don't like you," Sungmin finally confessed.
"I need your help,"
He then told Sungmin about how a girl kept clinging to him, and he told her he wasn't interested in girls. The girl demanded to know who his boyfriend was, and now he was in trouble. He just needed Sungmin to be his false boyfriend for only a month or two, and he promised to leave him alone forever. Eventually, he agreed to it and he played along like he was asked to. Until one day when they met the girl and the two shared a kiss, Sungmin felt something. Probably it was because of the kiss, his heart stopped beating for a split second and he had a urge to continue the kiss.
"Taemin, I want to go out with you for real," Sungmin said, surprising his cousin, "I always feel..something when I'm with you,"
"Ohh, and you tell me you are straight," he mocked.
Sungmin rolled his eyes. Taemin smiled.
They began dating then. Actually Sungmin never expected it to happen, but he knew that he felt something..special for him. His heart beats when he see him..and he fell in love with him. They lived together for a short period of time; Sungmin at Taemin's home. One day when Sungmin was out for the entire day, he came back home late and was shocked to find his boyfriend drunk..in bed..with another guy.
Okay, that isn't exactly what you would want to see. But Sungmin never knew this..His boyfriend was a player. He immediately moved out of his home and lived alone since then. He had a trauma for a long time, but he soon got over it when he met Donghae. Donghae introduced him to the maid café, and Zhoumi hired him. Since then, Sungmin recovered..but sometimes, he's often alone...
and he thinks about the tiring and painful past back then.
"So you were the one at the café too! How long have you been stalking me this time, you player?!" Sungmin yelled.
"Would you calm down?" Taemin shouted, "I'm giving you an explanation here, so please, please listen to me; will you?"
There was heavy breathing for awhile. Taemin gulped, watching as he breathed the cold air in and out. He pushed back his hair, huffing as he closed his eyes.
I was the one who was in the mistake. Sorry, Sungmin.
The next day, Sungmin got up early and went off merrily to the café with Donghae. Donghae couldn't hep but smile when he saw Sungmin in such a good mood.
"What happened?" Donghae asked, cycling beside Sungmin.
"Nothing. I just feel good today," he said, pedalling energeticly, "Come on! Let's have a race!"
His friend laughed. He was happy to see him all cherry and smiley. Sungmin looked cute like that. Another normal day at the café; dressed in clean fresh outfits that Henry always gets ready for them. Sungmin changed and tugged a pink ribbon around his wig. He smiled, closing his locker. All he had to do is wait for Heechul to help them with the make up. He felt good. Like he just had a fresh new start in life.
The night before Taemin had explianed that the incident that dated a few years back was nothing more than a couple of drugs he had accidentally eaten at a bar and a wine overdose. It caused him to act like that. Taemin was a player, but he knew that he loved Sungmin and he still did. But he knew that he just had to give up; he was done with all the pressure and memories, now he had to let them go and move on. Sungmin was happy.
"We'll just stay cousins. Nothing more than that,"
Sungmin continued smiling like an idiot until Heechul arrived and slapped his head.
"Come on, what are you all smiling about? Here, let me put on your make up; sweetie,"
"Okay," Sungmin replied, "Thanks,"
The café was set up and they pulled up the curtains. The rays of the morning sun shone in, and everyone looked out, smiling. Another fresh morning has awaited them again, and they were starting a new day. The bells of the tinted door clinked together, and they all lined up to greet their first customer. They looked up and gaped.
"Shindong! This is unexpected!" Heechul laughed.
Zhoumi peered out of the counter and grinned.
"Hey, cousin! Here for breakfast?" he called out.
"The usual, Mimi!"
"Alright! Hey, guys! Set our customer to Table 4 and bring out the plates!"
"Right away!" they all replied cheerfully.
That day, when Sungmin was working busily in the kitchen with helping out the two busy chefs, Yesung called for him and told him he had a customer waiting for him to take his order. Puzzled, he dried his hands and went up to the particular table. He took a glimpse at his customer and laughed. It was Taemin. The two burst into laughter and gave one another a high five. Sungmin never expected it, but he had forgiven him.
He felt fresh and cleared of all of his past. No looking back, just heading forth to the future.
Sungmin smiled and placed Taemin's order before him.
"What should I call you? Master Taemin?"
"Call me Min, you idiot!"
The two giggled and the others watched with smiles over their faces. Zhoumi was actually happy to see Sungmin like that. Sungmin hadn't had such a smile, never before since he hired him.
"I'm having a fresh whole new start,"
"Let me take Table 10, okay?"
"Hey! I was supposed to serve that table!"
"Ahem. Miss. Hyun, move it! To Table 6! Now go, go, go!"
"CLOUD!! YOU PUT YOUR TURTLES IN THE KITCHEN ONE MORE TIME; I'LL STICK THEM INTO THE POT AND COOK TURTLE SOUP! YOU HEAR ME?!"
"Whoops, Wookie's lost it again,"
"He's always like this when he's busy,"
"Yep...and will you stop standing beside me? Get to work already, Miss.Eun," Heechul coughed.
"MISS. HEE HEE!! YOUR SERVICE AT TABLE 8, PLEASE! YOU BEING IN CHARGE HERE DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN LAZE AROUND ALL DAY!!"
