The first day of spring brought no immediate change in Ok Hyeran’s life. In fact, she considered it to be a day full of non-events and mindless small talk, but without her knowledge the city of Seoul breathed an anxious sigh for her future as one action on this day would find its way to Hyeran.

In a quiet residential suburb one man’s heart raced at the termination of another’s. The killer’s hands were covered in crimson, a reminder not to leave any prints when leaving the house of his artwork, but there must be something else he could leave behind- something to sign his masterpiece with. The murderer collected enough of his victim’s blood from his freshly mutilated carcass to paint a red X across the perfectly still face, being very deliberate in his movements and making sure to span the eyes that he left open in their look of horror. An artist could never be satisfied with his work, but at some point he must decide to finish. He stole away from the house as quietly as he entered it, only after he hung his artwork on the wall for its beauty to be appreciated.
