“I don’t like her.”

“She’s pretty tall.”

“Not my type.”

“But she can walk.”

“Of course she can, she’s not disabled.”

“Kim Taeyeon!”

“Dang!”

“Okay should we proceed to the next video?” Namjoo awkwardly asked as she noticed the heated argument between the two.

“Wait, we have to decide, so is she in or not?”

“No. Delete her. Namjoo proceed to the next.” Taeyeon replied which made Namjoo delete the video and proceeded to the next.

Suho can only massage the bridge of his nose. They’ve been doing this for almost three hours already and all he wants to do now is get back to his office and read some office reports. He can’t believe how he got in this situation in the first place.

“I am so done with this. I should talk to Chanyeol, why did he shortlisted these models when all they can do is give an ‘I’m looking down on you’ y facial expression?! Haven’t I told him-“

“Taeng you gave them three days to work on that. A day to post, another day to audition, and another day to short list… what do you expect from them?! Get you infamous or top ranked Tyra Banks style models?” Junmyeon cut her off making her groan in frustration.

“You two are being too stressed out now, I think you should go out and take a breath of fresh air and be back in like 10 minutes, I think that can help clear your mind.” Namjoo suggested which immediately made Junmyeon stand up and fixed his tie.

“That’s one of the best idea from you Namjoo, I’m going out, be back in 10 minutes.” Junmyeon said as he walks out of the room leaving Taeyeon let out another groan.

“Seriously?!”

“Suho needs some air, you need to breath to Taeng, just go out for a while.” Namjoo suggested as his eyes followed the fading figure of Junmyeon or commonly known to them as Suho as he headed out.

“I think I should. I’ll be back immediately.” And with that Taeyeon left the room leaving Namjoo slouch on his chair, the first time he did that in three hours and it never felt so nice.

Kim Empire Co., just by hearing the name makes one recognize it, one of the biggest fashion company in Korea. Kim Empire Co. includes KE Textiles or simple known as KETex which produces fine textiles that was once exclusive for their collections. Next is KE Modeling Agency or KEMA, of course, having your own fashion company means having your own models and KEMA is known to gather and produce finest models that any fashion designers would want to have. Then there’s house of KxE once you’re wearing something with KxE embroidery, you’re one lucky human being since KxE collections is famous for having the finest fashion designers in the country that could produce different lines for the season. Lastly is KE’s pride, the fashion magazine, A La Mode. A La Mode is the number one fashion magazine all over Asia, Northern part of America and some parts of Europe. It has been in the business for more than twenty years, beating the other competitors as it was never gone off the map; instead, it has remained strong and steady through the years.

Kim Beom Cheol, the third generation of the Kim Empire who owned and started A La Mode. Their family was the one who brought fashion and style famous in Korea and ventured it along Asia, North America and some parts of Europe. Beom Cheol is getting old and he knows that it’s time for him to pass over the business to his grandsons.

Thing is, Beom Cheol had seven children and all of them are girls, making him unable to pass to them the Kim Empire Co. From a small dream of the head of the family, the business grew big and became one of the best in the country especially when fashion is being talked about.

Because of the family hierarchy is followed by the family, Beom Cheol isn’t able to pass the entire company to his daughters, instead, he had it handled and wants to pass everything to his grandchildren who co-incidentally became all boys.

“Indeed, Eunji, you’ve made an awesome article once more.” Tris, her EIC said which made Eunji let out a satisfied smile. She’s proud of herself.

“Eunji, you’re seriously going all out with these gossips.” San Ah, another journalist in Chick commented which made Eunji laugh.

“I just wrote what I saw, they can’t fool the eyes of a Jung.” Eunji replied proudly which made the whole room laugh.

“Enough of that and let’s continue to work, where are you going now Eunji?” Tris asked.

“I’m scheduled to attend a fashion gala tonight, I’ll dress up and be present during the media conference.” Eunji replied which made Tris nod.

“Bring Yoseob with you, you’ll be needing a photographer.” Tris suggested.

“I’ve thought of that too, thank you Tris.” Eunji replied.

As soon as Eunji sat on her cubicle, she opened their online website and scrolled through her article. She’s not making gossip, it’s the truth.

“Kim Jongin and Kang Seulgi on Argument during KxE runway holiday show.” She reads it vocally. She got a good scoop last night which made her write it out send it to her EIC immediately.

“You’ve been eyeing the Kim Empire these past months, I bet you’re on a black list on them already.” Hayoung, another journalist said as she slid her chair towards Eunji’s cubicle.

“I can’t help it; they’re the one making news for themselves. I’m just one concerned citizen, I just want the public know what they don’t know.” Eunji replied in a ‘sincere’ voice making Hayoung roll her eyes and laugh at her.

“You’re seriously playing with fire. You’re no ordinary person, you’re Jung Eunji, people in the fashion world knows you and so are they… don’t overdo it Eunji, I’m worried that if Kim Empire back fires and uses A La Mode against Chick, we’ll be out of the map.” Hayoung can’t help but say it which made Eunji give her a soft smile.

“Don’t worry Hayoungie… I’m being careful with my words and actions. They can’t accuse me or Chick anything since I have credible sources and I never bad mouthed anyone in my articles, I’ve got clean records so they can’t simply attack me or Chick.” Eunji replied with confidence making Hayoung nod in understanding.

Jung Eunji is a journalist, a fashion journalist to be exact. She’s a gem when it comes to fashion as she’s pretty much a fashion icon. Thing about the lady is that, instead of focusing into journalism itself, she developed a love for fashion through her genes making her take some crash courses about it and later on became a fashion journalist herself. Even with a high class status, Eunji chose to work on Chick, a famous business, fashion and entertainment online news source. Chick is pretty much famous for finding out and featuring the latest about people in both the entertainment and the fashion industry. Though with this image, Chick also has a bit a stain and that is, people sometimes thinks that Chick pretty much gossip about stars from both industries. They can sometimes let out a dating scandal between artists, or artists and idols, business related person and idols… and so on. They’re on the game with ‘news’ making people is clearly aware of Chick’s existence.

Eunji is a freelance writer there. She’s most of the time in charge in writing features over the events she’s able to attend. She must admit she sometimes write about controversies that happens in events she gets in to making Chick have a sort of ‘image’. But no one knows that Eunji is the one who actually wrote them as she hides in the alias of ‘Hyerim’ and in events, Eunji may attend but Chick still sends a press representative so people wouldn’t really know if who is ‘Hyerim’ as per Eunji’s request as well. Eunji just uses her real name on her features.

“This Hyerim is seriously giving us a headache!” Taeyeon hissed. She’s like jumping from one job to another. She’s Kim Taeyeon, Kim Empire’s Assistant Managing Director and a sort of ‘jack of all trades’ when it comes to the things that belongs under Kim Empire Co. Taeyeon has impressive credentials especially when it comes to business making Kim Empire consider her application and now she has made it big.

Just earlier, she was with Suho, the son of the seventh or the youngest daughter of Kim Beom Cheol. Suho is most likely the one who’s gonna take over Kim Empire Co. as he’s the one who wasn’t able to settle on anything under the company. Judging him, he is the most capable one among them and his cousins agree on that making them support him. Earlier, they were in the middle of choosing who are going to pass on the interview process to enter KEMA since it’s the time for the year again for the modeling agency to hire and train new models. The job was supposed to be done by Chanyeol, the only son of Beom Cheol’s third daughter and Chanyeol made his way to handle the Modeling Agency which his mom handles as well. Thing is, Chanyeol had to attend a convention on Japan for a week and they can’t lapse on the schedule so they had to rush it.

“I can’t even remember someone was around the garden last night! And me and Seulgi wasn’t even fighting, we were just discussing!” Jongin defended himself.

“Discussing in a form of argument.” Jongdae corrected which made him roll his eyes.

“Hyerim seemed to get on us.” Minseok commented which made the others agree.

Jongin, Jongdae and Minseok and brothers. They are the sons of Beom Cheol’s oldest daughter and are taking over KETex.

“I’ll have someone check over the situation. This is her fourth negative article that involves Kim Empire, we can’t let her continue on this or else we’ll have to do some measures.” Taeyeon said.

“The first was KETex involved in exchange of textiles with a Japanese fashion company right? Then the next was KEMA or should we say Chanyeol vs Aya Morita, the American-Japanese model? What’s the other one?” Yixing reiterated.

“It was an article about Jongdae dating Luna.” Kyungsoo reminded which made Yixing remember it.

Yixing is the son of Beom Cheol’s second daughter who married a Chinese man. Kyungsoo on the other hand is the son of Beom Cheol’s fifth daughter and he together with Lay handles KxE.

“We’re actually planning on writing an article about Chick and put it in A La Mode… we might find out who Hyerim is.” Baekhyun opened up his thoughts.

“And we’re also planning to do it personally, Tristan has been coming to events recently and it makes me want to open the topic to him if it wasn’t rude to start it off on some events.” Sehun added.

Baekhyun is the son of Beom Cheol’s foruth daughter and Sehun is the son of Beom Cheol’s sixth daughter. Sehun is also the youngest among Beom Cheol’s grandchildren.

“I don’t think that’s right… it’ll make people think that we’re being threaten by Chick. Let’s leave that idea behind for now… let’s just be careful on our movements and not give people chance to write anything negative about us, it’ll reflect on Kim Empire and we all don’t want grandpa to hear about anything related to that.” Suho replied making the others nod in agreement.

“Chick is not a small news source anymore, it has become something big to the public’s eyes especially when Tristan took over.” Taeyeon said. Tristan Choi is the EIC of Chick, he’s a proud gay so he refers to be called Tris by people.

“Tristan must still be holding a grudge for Sehun rejecting his dinner offer.” Jongdae jokingly said to lift the mood which made everyone laugh as Sehun groaned.

“I would never eat a dinner with him alone! I have nothing against him or his gender but his looks makes me feel like he’s undressing me. Augh!” Sehun replied as he even hugged his body making the others laugh at him.

“You might end up the next topic on Hyerim’s article then.”
