Broken Butterflies

Description

JR and Aron have been friends for as long as they can remember, but when his friend is depressed, he wants nothing more than for him to be happy again. If it comes at the price of shoving his love for Aron under the rug, he's willing to make the sacrifice, despite wanting him for himself.

Chapter 1: Oh goodness this story. You brought the waterworks with this month's prompts lol. I really loved this one and the way that you allude to the trouble between them for a long while before coming to it. And it made perfect sense that they didn't speak of it before hand: that kind of thing isn't brought up in everyday conversation. This is such a great reminder that jealousy can put such a huge strain on any kind of relationship and I love how you showed that. And Teddy's cameo was great!

Chapter 1: Why did you do this to me? I don't even ship jron but my heart h u r t s for them thanks to you urgh. And- and Ren- why would you do this to me ;_; It never feels, people always manage to just casually kill off my biases. I got the underlying "love caused a problem" vibes but I didn't expect it to have been like this.

"Where the hell were you?" that line got me. Just- I can't really fault JR for staying distant but at the same time I c a n and I'm not sure if I want to hate him or I want to comfort him because there's someone to comfort Aron but who will comfort JR when he's done comforting Aron?

Chapter 1: That last line is absolutely beautiful and painful but hopeful at the same time. It was mildly frustrating not knowing the whole story but knowing there was more to both of them than either were letting on. JR was relatively easy but everything else took time to unfold and when it did, the whole sad truth was revealed. Damn. That's all I can say to that. I half expected Aron to be a bit more bitter about the truth, but I can see how the confirmation would only just let him actually understand better. They both could have handled the whole situation better, but it looks like they can both finally try to heal now.

Nicely done. Very sad indeed but it's definitely not without hope. ^_^

Chapter 1: oh man this is sAD i like how i sympathized with both aron and jr in this + the whole broken butterflies thing is nice bc butterflies is usually a fluttery and new love !! and now his feelings are shattered !!
