“You have to marry my son.”

“What?” Donghae was shocked. What is he saying? Marriage? he was thinking about what Mr. Lee had said. Mr. Lee could tell what was going on inside Donghae’s mind.

He tried to explain the fact, “Listen, Donghae dear, I know you are shocked right now but that’s what your parents and my wife wanted. I want you to think about it and then tell me your answer.”

“How can I.... I mean, I am just in high school and...... does your son know about this?” Donghae was more concerned about the said boy. Was Mr. Lee’s son gay? He didn’t know.

“You don’t have to think about Hyuk. Just think and tell me your answer. I am not expecting a no. It was your parents’ last wish so I hope you will say yes,” Mr. Lee said.

Donghae sighed, “I will think about it. Is your son’s name Hyuk?”

“Oh yes, his name is Lee Hyukjae,” He replied with a smile, “He is in the same school as you. I think you know him.”

“Oh,” Donghae didn’t know what he should say more.

Mr. Lee then stood up from his chair, “I should get going now. I will wait for your answer,” he said.

Donghae also stood up and bowed at him as he left. He also started walking home with a lot of thoughts in his mind. When he reached his apartment, he just got in and started doing his homeworks for school. After a few hours, he ate dinner and went to bed but he couldn’t sleep. Thoughts about his parents were lingering in his mind. His parents always took care of him when he was a child. Donghae didn’t know what he should do. He loved his parents too much to not fulfill their wish.

After thinking for what seemed like half an hour he made his decision. Donghae took his phone and searched for the number from which Mr. Lee’s assistant had called him earlier. After taking a deep breath, he clicked the call button. The call rang for a while before a voice was heard, “Hello.”

Donghae cleared his throat and then answered, “Um...this is Lee Donghae. I wanted to talk to Mr. Lee.”

“Lee Donghae...yes, Mr. Lee told me. He is not here right now but you can tell me. I will let him know,” he said.

Donghae took a deep breath before saying, “What Mr. Lee asked me today..... I wanted to say that my answer is yes.”
