Description
Park Jinsu is an aspiring scientist and daughter of the richest technological conglomerate owner in South Korea. Her parents' company has spent years investing in building a time machine, even despite setbacks such as the Byun family claiming that they stole the patents for it, and now that she's nearly seventeen, Jinsu has been allowed to help work on small, unimportant bits of the nearly completed Attayear, due to be launched at the annual Physics for Young People student conference. As the daughter of the Attayear's brainfather and one of the best physicists her age in the country, Jinsu is awarded one of the two-dozen coveted spaces for the machine's inaugural journey into the past – a journey which her father and various government officials have decided to award to the most promising youth of the day to inspire them in their work.
The problems begin when Baekhyun, son of the aforementioned Byuns and fellow classmate, is also awarded a place on the trip, along with a number of his toadies, and he just happens to hate Jinsu's guts – and might just be on a revenge mission for the results of the patents court case that ruined his family's lives.
And then an act of sabotage leaves them stranded in the past, their numbers and supplies gradually being depleted, and Jinsu and Baekhyun are forced to work together if they want to survive...

I have broken practically all my own rules starting this fic. It involves a very popular member to write about as the male lead, is set in a school, has a very rich main character... I could go on. Oh well. Enjoy!

I don't yet know what category I'm going to enter this for, so I'm not entering it just yet, but I'm writing this for this competition. As for the prompts, I'm doing a Prompt Dash (as in, trying to fit in as many as possible) of the written prompts on the prompts page, and the ones I use will be listed on the chapters they are used in, and then when the fic is finished, put on a list here at the front.
Attayear will be on friends-only for a couple of weeks, by the end of which I hope I will actually have a decent description written.
Because I have no self control and love sharing my fics with people, it won't be on friends-only, but by the end of December, I hopefully will have a decent description written. Edit: mission failed.

Please don't call me Authornim or ask me to update soon. I wish to go by "Korey" on here, so you can call me that, and updates will happen when they happen. I want to finish this by the August deadline, so they'll probably be more frequent than once a month (likely several times a week), but I'm also writing these fanfics below (click on the posters if you want to take a look) and running a recs list and a writing competition and co-running a review shop, so nagging or "update soon" comments will not be at all appreciated. Beyond that, please do leave comments! I reply to all the ones I receive.

Thank you so much, everybody! I genuinely wasn't expecting this and just earlier today was joking with one reader about gold stars and Leonardo di Caprio and oscars and I think it must have been a lucky jinx or something because twelve hours later there's a sudden influx of subscribers and Attayear's on the front page! There are over 20000 Baekhyun fics and Attayear was lurking somewhere in the depths of them, so it feels incredible that it got noticed :)
