Member of the police force seeking his son's kidnapper. Nothing could stop him, even the dark.

Oh Minseok

The beloved child of two proud fathers. He saw only the good in the world.

Kim Jongin

South Korea's first Evolved CEO of In-Tech, a famous gadget company. A lot is expected from him.

Do Kyungsoo

Finally living a normal life of his own, but was soon faced with troubles he couldn't possibly ignore.

Park Chanyeol

A tall, lanky man who everyone thought he existed to brighten their gloom, but could it be just a facade?

Author's Note:

Welcome to Pursuit, a supernatural and suspense fanfiction which is part of the Evolved series.

This series is inspired by an American television series called Heroes (seriously, I love the series so much!), a game called Heavy Rain, and probably a few other inspirations as I continue to write this along the way to completion.

I've carefully planned out this series for quite a while now, and will probably continue to constantly edit this foreword and everything else bit-by-bit until my overall satisfaction is met. Please bear with me if I do make major changes, but I do really hope that is not the case...

I would do like to point out one thing: I basically wanted this series to have three books, all of which was planned to be set around the same time, and would also interweve together in some parts. However, I've been recently thinking to overthrow the original plan and go with a different approach, but still keeping the "three books" idea.

Although the other two books are still unavailable, the top ribbon shows the titles, and they'll hopefully be "click-able" soon. When I finally make them available for viewing, I will happily link them for easy access ^^

One by one, they disappeared...

There were humans. And then, there were the Evolved.

Evolved. They were just like humans: they ate, slept, cried, and laughed, just like humans. Like humans, they worked in different professions, either part-time or full, big or small. Evolved children even go to school, just like normal children. But they were more than ordinary.

They were extraordinary.

They possessed unworldy supernatural abilities that humankind couldn't think possible. One could fly. One could time-travel. One could control the earth or the seas, maybe even the skies, or the heat of fire. One could even change their appearance into anything they pleased.

The list of supernatural abilities were endless.

Even with these astounding abilities, you could never tell the humans and the Evolved apart. Nobody could predict who would be an Evolved; anyone could develop powers, with no particular age nor gender preference. It just happens.

It was unworldly but the world managed and the Evolved roamed freely alongside normal human beings, leading normal lives like everyone else. Or so, they wanted to believe.

Until, one by one, the Evolved in South Korea started to disappear... Especially the children,

including the beloved son of the Oh's.
