JongKey 

2 Years before

Kim Ki Bum and Kim Jonghyun. The bullies. The rulers. The best of them all. They were inseparable. They were best friends. They were brothers. Both were 15 and went to Music School to pursue their dreams which was to become idol singers. They were known as The Jongkey. They were friends with three other guys- Lee Jin Ki known as Onew, Lee Taemin, and Choi Minho and they were known as SHINee. 

The girls were totally crazy over 'The Jonkey'. And everyone in the campus either worshipped them or hated them for being the best in everything. Excluding SHINee and another group EXO, all the boys were jealous of the duo. They were the best singers in the school next to Onew but he was far too interested in chicken to show off his skills.

They were both very close and went through everything together. They had been friends from kindergarten. They were all that each other had despite their fame and money.

"Yah! Jjong I'm bored with this class. Lets of to the rooftop." said Key. "Okay then, kaja."

They were lying on a bench on the rooftop. "When we're older, I want to be with you in the same group. I want us to keep supporting each other and never let go till the end." Said Jjong. "I would like that too. The two of us together, we can rule the world." Replied Key. 

"Jong and Key against the world." they said together.

Back in class, the bored boys decided it has been too long (2 periods) since they last bullied someone. They decided to pick on their usual victim, Jung Min Woo. He had been the best in school before the arrival of JongKey and had learnt to step out of the spotlight the hard way.

"Yah! Min Woo, go get me some coke" said Jjong while kicking his seat. The class pretended like nothing was happening and went on with their work. Only Onew gave a disapproving look but then he too looked away.

"Why? You won't do it for us?" Whispered Key menacingly while Jjong was smirking behind him. Being the best fighter in the region, every one listened to Key. Rolling his eyes, Min Woo got up from his place and went out to buy food for them. Min Woo had a lot of money since his dad was a rich businessman. Needless to say, he was also extremely good looking. He never told his father that two other guys had taken to bullying him because he knew his dad would only ridicule him.

Min Woo got the coke and gave it to JongKey at the rooftop. "Do you have some cigarettes?" asked Key.

"I don't"

"Then go buy some"

"I have to go home on time today. My dad will be there."

"I TOLD YOU TO BUY SOME NOW."

"Key, calm down." said Jjong, placing a hand on key's shoulder. "You, scram" he said turning towards Min Woo.

"Can you believe he dared to talk back to me? I've been letting him off the hook for too long." fumed Key.

As they were walking towards Key's home after school, they spotted Min Woo outside a Motorbike store casually talking to the owner not showing any signs of worry about going home late at all.

Jonghyun stared at him, his eyes showing an expression of shock. So, this guy actually had the guts to disobey them and go out. At that moment, Min Woo spotted them and waved a casual hi to them.

"Hey Key, sup? Want me to donate some cash to you both huh?" he asked, winking at some girls nearby. 

"This bastard really......." said Jonghyun as he rushed into the shop Key following behind. Inside Min Woo seemed so calm which annoyed Jonghyun to no end. "Sup?" asked Min Woo raising his eyebrows. "Why you!" said Jonghyun shaking Min Woo by his collar.

In front of so many people, Min Woo wasn't gonna get hit. He pushed JongHyun and kicked Key in his chest and pushed a row of canned food on the two of them before running off. 

Needless to say, a full-fledged fight started with the boys beating up each other. 

Min woo suddenly ran to the backyard and dusted himself. 

"Guess you didn't want people watching you get hit by me" said Min Woo as they walked into the backyard. 

"Yo Key, you're asking me for money because you and your old grandmother have nothing else to depend on. Am I right?" he asked. 

"Shut up" spat JongHyun, sensing that Key was soon gonna kill Min Woo. 

"And you, JongHyun, you're probably sticking to Key because that's the only way you can be popular or else you wouldn't even be noticed. Cause you're too Gay to even live" laughed Min Woo. 

JongHyun, being the more practical of the two friends, suggested that him and Key take their leave. 

"Oh yeah, leave loosers" Called min Woo. 

Jjong really lost his patience. 

JongHyun pushed Min Woo to a wall and started punching him in his stomach until he suddenly fell to the ground, unconscious. Key froze for a moment not knowing what to do. Jonghyun bent, kneeling next to Min Woo "Min Woo-ya, wake up!!Open your eyes."

Reviving himself, Key kneeled next to jonghyun. "He is still breathing" said Jjong.

At that moment, someone came there and yelled for help.

The police arrived, Min Woo was taken to a hospital and JongKey were under police custody. The lady who informed the police gave a statement saying that she saw Key do it.

" If you agree to what you did, things will be easier. The boy is not dead so you can still get away. But for that I need you to agree." the police officer said looking at Key. Key kept looking at the floor. The officer then turned to Jonghyun. "Did he do it?" He asked Jonghyun. "Yes" said Jonghyun barely audible.

Key was shocked. His friend, brother- did not just tell on him so that he can escape. He felt like his whole world shattered like glass. It was supposed to be JongKey against the rest of the world not Key against Jonghyun and the rest of the world.

It didn't matter to Key that he was taking blame for JongHyun. Hr would do that and more. But JongHyun did this to save himself. 

"Okay then, you can go" said the officer to Jonghyun. Giving an acknowledging bow, he left without looking at Key.

Min Woo survived. Jonghyun went back to school. Key had to transfer. The agency helped him cover things up. Key ignored Jjong. After that, they never saw each other.
