Second Place
Description
Lee Hyukjae has always been second place to his family, friends and colleagues.
Reeling from a bad breakup and trying to start over, completely and utterly alone in a big city, he slowly finds himself falling for the charming, kind and devastatingly handsome Lee Donghae, who takes an interest in him. But when Donghae's ex comes back, and Hyukjae learns they never really fell out of love, he starts to wonder if he is also second place for Donghae.
I guess this will be a song-fic? I will be using lyrics from Taylor Swift's 'Begin Again' from her RED (2012) album.

Foreword
Take a deep breath in the mirror…
Hyukjae looked at his reflection and gazed sadly at his average face – monolids, a nose that at times seemed a bit too big for his face and a very scrawny figure. He splashed some water on his face to get rid of the tear streaks and wiped his face with the towel hanging nearby. He gulped as he grabbed his bags which were extremely light as he couldn’t bring many things.
“Hurry up,” the other said tonelessly from outside the bathroom.
Hyukjae took a deep breath, with one final glance at the mirror thinking 'It's okay. I'm still standing.'
