Forgot to Remember [Full Fic]

It was the most awaited Home Coming. Although he doesn't look forward to it as he cannot remember anybody aside from his close
friends. He doesn't even know why those people are screaming crazily when they saw Jay and Jungmo coming, are they really that
good? Kyuhyun, in his dazzling, sharp suit just shook his head and checked on his watch.

It was still early for the real party, he still have time to look around the school building. A familiar feeling made him turn
to the left corridor in the third floor of the building and he doesn't understand why
but it seems like his feet is leading him somewhere. Where could it be? He, himself wondered until he found himself
walking towards the end of it.

"After school classroom."

------------------------------
Sungmin sat down on his favourite chair, on the first chair of the second row on the right aisle. He would always sit there. Of
course, Kyuhyun would be sitting next to him. He smiled looking back on their first class together. He tried very hard not to
look at the arrogant young man. As he said, the guy is intimidatingly handsome and Kyuhyun's charisma is just something he cannot
really stop being attracted with.

Sungmin looked at the empty chair beside him and seemed to see the young Kyuhyun looking at him. 'I like you... let's be friends'
how could he forget those lines? It was the first time he heard the young man's voice and the first thing that he told him was
'I like you' he swore he really blushed big time when Kyuhyun said that. His arrogance is different from the one right now.
At that time, he found Kyuhyun's arrogance as cool and handsomely, quite intimidating but is definitely cute.

He suddenly saw his young self and Kyuhyun; playing around before the professor comes, Kyuhyun would secretly peak on
his notes or he will sneakily copy from Kyuhyun's exam. There will be times when they will just stay in the after school class
for no reason, or maybe the reason was to see each other. There will also be times when they will just sit beside each other,
wondering who will be the first one to break the silence. After school class... is simply one of the best class in this
university, one of the most memorable one, at least for him. Their feelings bloomed in this room... and it will always be kept
in this room, for him to look back.

Sungmin smiled. "Yah... Cho Kyuhyun." He said still imagining Kyuhyun is indeed there. His smile fade and tears crept up again.
He is starting to hate this feeling, when he just suddenly want to cry because the memories will hit him very hard. "Wouldn't it
be nice if I can also forget you in a snap, just like what happened to you? then it will be less painful."

He looked down letting his tears wet the table he used when he was still a student. "I will not know how it feels to lose
a memory... but right now, I clearly know how it feels to be caught up in memories. You've forgotten to remember me... I...
for the uncountable time... I've forgotten to forget you." he said.

A gentle knock made him wipe his tears in a hurry and stood up but he suddenly stopped when he saw Kyuhyun inside.
Sungmin looked down and wiped his wet hands on his pants.

"For once I am not checking on you." he said quickly. Kyuhyun chuckled and put his hand in his pocket.

"That I'm quite sure." he said. "I expected to see you here in school, but not exactly here. What are you doing in the after
school class, anyway?" he asked showing nothing of that irritation and annoyance he had when he was in the hospital. He was calm
and seemed to be in a good mood, but the arrogance is there. Not the cute arrogance... the arrogance that Sungmin doesn't like.

"This-" Sungmin looked down. "This is my favourite classroom when I was still here."

Kyuhyun puffed his cheek as he nodded. "Strange." he said.

"I was brought here by my feet. I don't understand. Do you know why?"

'That's because we spend most of our time here, Kyuhyun-ah' Sungmin said in his mind as he looked at Kyuhyun.

Sungmin sighed and just looked away.

"Never mind. I don't think I should care about it anyway." he said as he walked around the classroom. Sungmin just looked at him
as he sat back down his chair. "Sungmin sshi..." Kyuhyun called. "I heard most of our classmates didn't really like you. They
said you were too boring because you live with so many rules in life, not wanting to try this and that because you follow
such  boring beliefs. Is that true?"

"Why don't you ask yourself." Sungmin said plainly. "Our classmates hate you as well... because you're too intimidating."

Kyuhyun freed a mocking laugh. "As a specimen, I AM quite intimidating. But then... we're not talking about me. We're talking
about you." He looked at his forgotten lover with a mocking smile.

"I knew from the time I saw you in the hospital that you are a boring type. That's one of the reasons why I don't believe that
you're my lover. I know I would never go for some kind of boring type."

Sungmin was just stabbed in the heart with that. He then remembered something that Kyuhyun told him after they shared their
first night together. He chuckled which made Kyuhyun looked at him.

"I would never go for you if I know its not possible." he met Kyuhyun's eyes. "That's what you told me before. Would you
believe it?" Sungmin looked at him meaningfully as he saw the curiosity in the young man's eyes.

Kyuhyun crossed his eyebrows... and why would he say such crap? But he wondered why those words sound so familiar to him.

"Cho Kyuhyun... I thought you don't want to deal with the past anymore. Why do I feel like you're dying to know..." he said,
wanting for Kyuhyun to ask more questions so that he might have a spark or a will to remember him.

"That's not true." Kyuhyun looked away. "I just wondered why my feet brought me here."

"You feet? or your heart? You feel like there's something in this room that's why you came here. You were looking for your
past... involuntarily, is that the case?" Sungmin met his eyes once again and looked at Kyuhyun seriously.
"You know that there is something close to your heart that happened here... don't deny it."

It is exactly what Kyuhyun is thinking, he kept his calm and he cannot believe that this short guy in front of him can actually
read minds... or he's just too transparent? then again, he reminded himself that he doesn't want to deal with his past or at
least not with Sungmin around. That's what his head is saying. He looked away...

"Stop it. I don't want to remember any of those rubbish from the past." Sungmin's blood boiled hearing those words particularly
the rubbish part. "I see them as a big trash waiting for me to toss them away in a dustbin where they should belong." he said
casually.

Sungmin felt furious that he closed his fist. Those memories are his most treasured wealth in this life, and
he cannot believe that this person in front of him is spitting bad words about his treasure that Kyuhyun unknowingly contributed
alot.

"You rotten bastard." Sungmin said which surprised the young one, so this short guy can throw temper as well, huh?

"You can bury those memories in the past, but never insult them... ever."

Kyuhyun walked towards Sungmin leaning forward closing a bit of distance from their face, looking at the short guy with an
'I-don't-give-a-damn' kind of stare. Sungmin cannot see himself in those dark eyes... not anymore. He is no longer
Cho Kyuhyun, the GameKyu, EvilKyu that he knows. He is no longer the Kyuhyun who
owns him, who loves him. The person in front of him is definitely... a stranger. A stranger who doesn't deserve any piece of their memory.

"Those memories doesn't mean to you because you cannot remember them... but not remembering them doesn't mean they deserve
your insults. Cho Kyuhyun... I'll keep those memories with me. You can start your new memory for
all I care, but these memories will stay with me... although I know... deep down your heart, you know you have them. Our memories, they hate you as much as you hate me."

Sungmin tried his best to stop his tears as Kyuhyun walked away leaving him behind. He looked
sharply to the side as he saw Kyuhyun's back disappear. He closed his eyes hardly and left the classroom as well.

Kyuhyun went to the hall to see Hyukjae and the rest of his friends. He saw TRAX on the stage.

"Who... are they?" he asked, amazed by their powerful stage performance. Like he has known them for years, his heart beats with
much excitement the more he hears their songs. Although it seemed like he ignored them a while ago, right now the song being
sang was quite familiar- Cold-Hearted Man.

"They were graduates from this school as well... they've been hitting the radio world." Shindong said. "Argh, Jungmo Hyung is
just so cool. Yah! You used to dream of singing with Jay Hyung, don't you remember?" he asked elbowing Kyuhyun.

"Uhm..." Jay started. "Before I start, I'd like to thank a dongsaeng of mine, Ming, he wrote a song in a rush but he was
able to make it a good one." Jay looked down and sighed closing his eyes.
*Author's note: you can listen to the song Blind here:  http://youtu.be/VBpbZPn3oVE*

"Woah... Sungmin Hyung surely hit TRAX again." Hyukjae said making Kyuhyun looked at him.

"Sungmin? you mean Lee Sungmin?" he asked not wanting to believe.

"Yup. There will be times when Jungmo hyung would call him up and ask him to write songs for them. Sungmin Hyung has a very
good songwriting skills." Donghae added. "Although he keep it a secret to our classmates, he's the low profile type. Beside
most of the people thinks he's uncool because he disciplines himself well."

Kyuhyun looked at TRAX and thought... 'I thought they said he is boring type... songwriting? that's absolutely not boring.'
He looked up and listened to Jay's speech.

"To forget a memory of someone is indeed very painful... difficult... a black hole in your brain. But to be forgotten..."
he smiled gently. "This song is called Blind."

Jay looked at Jungmo and nodded. Jungmo started playing his guitar.

Kyuhyun, doesn't remember who Jay is, but he felt the song straight to his heart right away. Furthermore, he felt that Sungmin
must be in deep loneliness to be able to write such song...
he was reminded of how sad the older guy looked at him, that time in the rooftop 'I'll remember to forget you'
and even a while ago in the afterschool classroom. 'Our memories, they hate you as much as you hate me.'
Those saddened big eyes... those eyes that seem to look only at him.

Dan hanbeonman hanbeonman nal chajabwah jebal (Just once, just once, please look for me)
Heuneukgimyeon deouk heuneukgil-surok (the more you feel, the more you feel)
Tumyeong haejyeoman ganeunde (I become more and more invisible)
Jugeul mankeum kanjeorhan nae gidoye kkeu-te (At the end of my desperate prayers)
Nae pume kajil su itke (If only you will find me)
Ojing neomani chachajundamyeon (So that I can have you in my arms)

Kyuhyun looked down and thought... 'he... he's protecting the memories that I've never really tried looking for.
Is he talking to me with this song? Because if he is, I think I definitely got the message...'

He looked far and suddenly felt his heart literally aching. He could only hold his chest and breathe in. He looked at the band,
and thought... 'praying that I look at you for once... but I still see nothing.' he looked down. "Lee Sungmin... I'm sorry...
I won't look back anymore."

-----------------

Sungmin could only stay at the farthest part of the hall and listened to the song he made... the rock feel of the song certainly
added more pain and impact in him. He has to remember to thank Jay and Jungmo for arranging it beautifully. He is standing up
singing the song silently as he looked at Kyuhyun who is also standing watching and listening to the heartbreaking song.

"Kyuhyun-ah... I sent this message to your heart, my silent prayers... I hope you receive it." His eyes started becoming
watery as he breathe in deeply...
the song came to his favourite part... the part where all his emotions, his sincere feelings for Kyuhyun are poured.

Anboini ireohke neol sarang-hajanha (You can't see so I love you like this)
Hankuseo-ge nameun neoye jimundo (Even your fingerprints in the corner)
Jidokhi arosaegin chae (I strongly engrave them into me)
Juguel mankeum kkamahke meongdun gaseumso-geul (My blackened and bruised heart)
Kkeonae da boyeojwo-nneunde (I take it out and show it to you)
Keujeo chang bakgi chirheuk kat-dan neo (But you say that looks pitch-black outside)

Sungmin closed his eyes as tears fell once again. Despite promising himself not to cry anymore... he is just to weak to stop himself from doing it.
Or maybe... he loves Kyuhyun too much that its hard to convince himself to make this kind of decision...

'You wont see it... because you chose not to look back. Kyuhyun-ah...'

Goodbye. He wished he can say it... just this word. He can't.
