PROLOGUE

"Your favorite girl group? But you don't like any girl."

Kai laughed at his best friend's comment. In fact, he has been proud with himself that he actually never had the urge to like anyone even at his age. While most of his friends have crushes, he is only in love with dancing. While his friends are experiencing heartbreak, he still can smile beside them.

He cannot afford to fall in love. At least not at this moment. He feels like his clock is just started. He just debuted for a year. He still has a lot to do. For his family, his fans and for himself. His practice is more important than having his time wasted on crush.

At least that was what he thought.

Until one day..

"When she cries I feel like I need to protect her with my life."

Her presence stirred his heart. His eyes naturally follow her stiletto. A day without seeing her, he feels nervous. He worries that if he's not around, tears will keep on falling from her round hazel eyes.

He still remembers the first day when he saw her, with tears flowing down on her milky white skin, he can't even stop himself from feeling worry. He doesn't even understand why the need to feel that way. So, he ignored the feeling. The next day, at the same spot, he saw her sitting at the corner of practice room blankly with her red face and swollen eyes. He barely stopped himself from getting involve. Finally on the third day, he couldn't stop himself from getting near to her.

"Noona, I can use this room right?" He could see her surprised expression.

This room was once JYJ's Kim Junsu favorite practice room. Everyone knows that and no one except s and sister used this room.

For a second, her sobbing stopped and she just nodded slightly. With his presence there, she pulled down her cap more. Covering her face from his sight.

He can't help but smiled. 'At least she stopped crying.'

Kai placed his backpack and towel beside her. Just when he's about to start his dance practice, he saw her shoelace is not properly tied up. His reflex reached for her shoelace and tied it up for her.

"Kai-yah." Her trembling voice whispered his name.

"Yes, noona." He looked straight to her face. Somehow, he likes how she called him. The way Junniel called his name is as if they have known each other for life.

"Just ignore me." She requested with her pleading eyes.

Kai shook his head. 'Too late, noona. Too late.'
