"Good luck, Unnie" Jiyoon waved as Amber and Krystal dropped her off at her school.

Krystal smiled and waved back. Amber took a glance at her and patted her head "She's a nice person, Mrs. Han. I'm sure that she asked how to help you"

The long haired girl nodded. The drive felt like forever again. All kind of things came up in Krystal's mind, all the what ifs.

"Hey" Amber put her hand on Krystal's cheek, trying to calm her as if she could read her mind. "Don't drive yourself crazy before you hear what she said"

"I'll try" Krystal nodded weakly

Just like last time, Krystal froze in front of the door. And just like last time, Amber took her hand and lead her inside. It was already crowded and they had to wait for a few hours before they finally on the row. Amber knocked on Mrs. Han's door.

"Come in," a voice said

Krystal's knees felt like giving up, only Amber's hand kept her walking.

"Good morning" Mrs.Han smiled as she saw them

"Good morning, Mrs, Han" Amber answered while Krystal only nodded, she lost her voice too. "I hope you have some news for us"

"Sit down, please" the middle age woman pointed to the desk. She took some paperwork and sat down next to them "I'm afraid I don't have any good news"

"You mean, I can never see my daughter?" Krystal's voice trembled

"It's not impossible. At first, I thought your statement would be enough for us to open the document and start an investigation. That we don't have to involve the court in this. A friend of mine did me a favor and look into the adoption's papers. It was complete, including your signature, Ms.Jung"

"But I didn't sign it!" Krystal said frustratedly 

"Even so, it means we have to bring all these papers to court and they will start an official investigation. They will be calling your parents as witness"

"But they will never admit what they did. My mother won't and my father is just too scared of umma" 

"What about the hospital where you gave birth?"

"It was a small hospital, it was closed after the doctor passed away. I could search for the nurse but I don't know where to start"

"I am afraid the only way you could try is the legal way, Ms. Jung. But I'm warning you, it could take years, considering the number of cases we are working with"

"What if we hire a lawyer on our own?" Amber asked

"It won't make a different because the cases are going to the family court. There are only 2 judges in charge" 

"What if we file this under kidnapping?" Amber insisted

"Well then it's going to go to another court, it could be faster..."

"Amber..." Krystal took her hand "Let's just go home first."

"But, Krys..."

"Please, let me think about this first"

Amber wanted to say something again but she changed her mind seeing Krystal's eyes, she was on the verge of crying.

"Ok" Amber got up and bowed to Mrs.Han "Thank you for help, Mrs.Han"

Krystal bowed deep and said thank you

"No problem," Mrs. Han said "Come back again if you need anything, or if you have decided, you can come to me, maybe I can help you and give you some suggestions"

"That's very nice of you," Krystal said and bowed again "Have a nice day"

"You too"

Mrs. Han sighed as she watched them walked outside the building
