If there was one word Han Shihoo would use to describe life, it would be restriction.

They say, “Live your life to the fullest”, but never could he do it. Just because of his identity as someone different. Honestly, humans and vampires alike, live and die, have two legs and two hands and teeth, they aren’t that different.

But when it comes to the lowdown, if they were to try to live in peace, who gives up their rights? The vampires. Forced to live in hiding, giving up their abilities, shrouding their own identity, their soul, in a void of concealment? This isn’t life.

He’s sick of it. He’s so sick of it.

What do you do if everything you used to believe in was a lie? 

When Han Sihoo wakes up from almost-death, he finds himself in a whirlwind web of lies and darker, ulterior motives. But it's almost depressing how helpless he is in the hands of the Vampire Control System (VCS); all he is, is their latest regenerative experiment, the first guinea pig-like pawn in the field of worldwide superhuman warfare.

The more Jo Ahra hangs out with Han Sihoo, the more suspicious she gets about the nature of those four months of his absence. Her parents are being strange too; her father's suddenly based overseas for various international infantry conventions, and never comes home anymore. When she asks what it's for, all she gets is "It's classified." 

Then again, Sihoo and Ahra aren't the type to sit back and watch VCS execute their oppressive, dehumanizing regime either.
