About Me

Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Shel, and I'm a 22 year old girl who loves Korean music, shows, boys, and culture. My favorite groups are Super Junior, EXO, SHINee, BAP, 2ne1, BTS, Block B, Girls Generation, BIG BANG, Infinite, Sistar, F(x), VIXX, B1A4, Monsta X, iKon, GOT7, AOA, TWICE, and TVXQ/DBSK. Super Junior is my number one group and always will be since they were my first, so they are the main focus of my stories.I officially saw Super Junior live in concert at KCON LA on August 1, 2015.

When I write, of course I know my work is fictional, but I enjoy incorporating a lot of events or emotions that actually went on in the Kpop drama scene, such as scandals or rumors or things of that nature to kind of add to the tension of a story, whether it be part of the actual plot or a mere cameo/reference. I want to be considered as one of the more open-minded writers who tries to consider all sides of a story before publishing so as not to offend or stir up trouble amongst my readers.

I'm fortunate to say that I live a very blessed K-Culture fan life; I work for a Korean family in their restaurant across from the University where I study, and they teach me Korean phrases, how to prepare Korean meals, and help me understand the culture a lot more. They tutor me in Korean, and in return, I tutor them in English since they have only been living in the States for a year and a half. I've also been lucky enough to meet a Korean boy online who lives in Seoul, who has started a long distance relationship with me after communicating for about a year. He needed a college tutor for his English class and one thing led to another, and now we Skype every weekend and message almost everyday, yes even with a 14 hour time difference. I'm blessed to say that I will be getting to meet him next year, because I will be taking a student teaching position in Incheon to teach English to students during the 2017 school year. My fangirl dreams are slowly becoming a reality; getting to live in Korea is something I've wanted for years, and worked so hard to achieve, and soon I shall be able to reap the rewards of my work.

Thank you guys for taking the time to read about my life, and hopefully you enjoy my stories, and I send love to all K-pop fans around the world! <3
